Also makes perfect sense. Surgically, scar tissue is roughly at 90% strength in 2-3 weeks, then it cures to about 99% of the strength of normal tissue in 2-3 months. That's the same for almost any age, by the way, there isn't any cutting the corners (pun not intended) just because he's a young, in-shape athlete. So he's right on schedule.
