Kassian was still a good risk that has been a net positive IMO. If kass stays clean and doesn't "Torres" it up outside and also doesn't head hunt, i would say he can more than carry Torres' jock.
No he can't. Call me when he scores 20 goals or even 15 in a season here.
Again more nonsense about character.
I don't care and don't want to hear it. I will take a guy doing coke and railing three strippers before every game who gives me production on the ice. I'll go watch Disney on Ice if I want to see nice player skating around with the warm and fuzzies.
That's not what I watch NHL hockey for. Win, produce, or get the **** out of here.
lol. I can't even argue with you there. Produce in those 60 minutes or GTFO. Do what you want outside as long as it doesn't screw your game up. Fuhr was good at doing that.
I liked him in the playoffs. He just hasn't been bringing it this season at all.
We need guys who have "fire" in their bellies. I don't see that with a lot of guys on this roster. Guys who have something to prove and want to show the rest of league how good they can be.Need to have some damn testerone on every good team. People think the 80s Oilers were nice, as if Messier, Anderson, Fuhr, etc. etc. didn't party like rock stars.
A team full of Nugent Hopkins' isn't a good thing either. Yeah it's nice that he's the type of guy that would probably help a old lady unload her groceries, but pro sports is mean and nasty and bad. You need some mofos who have some swagger to be in the fight.

That's what guys like Messier, Gretzky, etc had. Hungry for winning.
I agree on Taylor Hall. To me he easily had the greatest drive on this team by a mile. In a perfect world we would have kept him and found an upgrade elsewhere.Messier had it. Leon has some of that. Gretzky and Connor are similar, they're quiet, that said Connor is unselfish to the point where even Gretzky had to talk to him about going for goals on an empty net.
Taylor Hall has a whole lotta of Glenn Anderson and some of Messier, but we traded that away.
Clearly there's an issue with Peter Chiarelli and him valuing talent/skill.
This is a guy who has traded all of
Taylor Hall
Tyler Seguin
Blake Wheeler
Phil Kessel
All four of these guys are likely to be on the All-Star team this year. Every single one of them is a PPG player right now. A regular GM might trade one of these players under their watch. But FOUR? Really? We gonna act like this is normal?
This is not a normal GM. He thinks he is smarter/has some magic formula that no one else has and it's dangerous to have a person like this running your team IMO.
He likes grit/toughness/"character" ... but so does Bergevin in Montreal. These guys are dinosaurs in this sport.
Where are all those stupid people defending Chiaturd back then now? Hello? Show your faces please.
