How the **** is Drouin at 5.5 mill one of the Canucks' *starting* comparables in this? :biglaugh: Jesus H.

Now I wouldn't use him as a comparable if I'm on the side of wanting the cheapest deal possible but a 53 point 22 year old with career 0.57 points per game seems like a pretty good comparable to a 52 point 22 year old with a 0.51 points per game. And given first one was essentially suspended by his team a year or so ago and banished to the AHL well it makes some sense that could be the floor of the second player (if you ignore the other contracts around the league of course!)

Why the canucks are using that as a starting point (I didn't see that info so taking you at your word) is ridiculous. It should be where they ended up. If it was their starting point then I'd expect something close to a Monahan deal.

I get the feeling Bo Horvat deal coming down later on this afternoon or tommorow.

Cause Canucks don't have much leverage in this... Horvats the best player we have and we don't have much in the system behind him or young players that could fit his role. Canucks have been out hyping Horvat as the next captain and future of this team, all Horvat has to do is replay them saying this and say how much?

Just watching TSN That's Hockey and Mike Johnson figures 6.5x8 gets it done for Nylander. I'm guessing 6.8x8 gets Bo signed long term.

I'd be disappointed if it was north of 7.5 personally.

this team has enough problem attracting talent, we need Horvat. Therefore, we shouldn't be playing games with him, sign him ASAP. Don't turn this organization into a joke.
