Best equals wings
Worst. Uh canes? Buffalo?
Huh? You're all over the place. In what world are the canes and sabres logo on the same level at all? That's like saying you like clean simple logos, like the leafs and wild

The best logos are definitely the simple, classic, no deeper understanding required to appreciate but if it's there okay, type. You shouldn't need to understand some overarching history to appreciate it, it should say who you are and what you play for to anyone who sees it or wants to be a fan. Hockey fans in Europe looking for a team to cheer for in the NHL aren't going to want a history lesson to understand what's going on, the running theme here and any other logo ranking I've seen is, simple, recognizable, and classic, no one likes a busy or artistic rendering on their jersey.
Classy, simple, iconic, shields of your team
Busy, picture like, overall just ugly logos, just doesn't give me the feeling of history or class that the other ones do. Buffalo tried going the picture way with the angry goat and the buffaslug and received massive backlash for messing with a good thing. If you're going to replace a classic, it better be with an absolute mastepiece, otherwise fans will hate it, no matter what.

Minnesota has one of the best logos. I feel like I've entered Bizarro world when I clicked this topic.
