I don’t think people realize how bad he is defensively. Some of the worst reads I’ve seen as a dman. Decent PP specialist with good passing but terrible footspeed, god awful decision making, some of the worst pinches, small size. All he has going for him is that he’s fine on the PP but nothing else

Yep. Lot to like about Durzi but he has some warts - very weak defensively. Spence is better balanced, and Clarke just has a lot more upside.

Arizona has 4 fairly good offensivish D- Moser, Valimaki, Durzi and Soderstrom. I'd probably call Valimaki and Soda a touch bit more "2-way", maybe Moser too. They could use a big, mobile defensive D.

clarke slots in easily at $850k or whatever so there's $850k realistic savings and 5D covered. bjornfot or spence cover 6/7D depending on their choices there. kupari probably gets a contract but he doesn't command much i don't think

Classic case of an offensive dman who is detrimental to team because his D is atrocious.

I am sure some nonsense analytics will be pulled up to say "No he is actually great" or some nonsense to defend him
