Kane isn't needed. Offensive scoring isn't the issue, as Tampa has been 4th or 5th league wide in GF/G. They are at 3.5 atm, which is as good or better than any of their past few seasons(since '18-'19). The defense has dropped a bit, as they are around .1 to .2 worse this season in GA/G(2.87 vs 2.78, 2.59, and 2.77 the last 3 years), but acquiring better defensive F for the bottom 6 should help some with that. If they can acquire two of the many middle/bottom 6 options that have been listed here, they should be set(or one and a d-man). The top 6 has enough depth and scoring ability, provided Cooper finds the right mix. There's little reason to spend a.large chunk of the remaining assets the team.still has on a high priced ufa for one "all in" run(at least not yet).
