I think Dubois is a lock. But it looks like it'll be on the wing

I agree, which isn't a bad thing. Just magnifies the need to add a center, imo. I'd really rather not have Foligno start out at 3C, but that seems somewhat likely at this point in time.

Projecting the opening night roster:

Panarin-Wennberg-Atkinson
Jenner-Dubinsky-Bjorkstrand
Dubois-Foligno-Milano
Calvert-Sedlak-Motte/Anderson (if signed)

Werenski-Jones
Johnson-Savard
Murray-Nutivaara

Bob/Korpi

I think so....IF we get the Anderson deal finalized. And absent any further moves, it's a deal we need to get done.

im just curious, since OTT and CBJ are the top two team in on Duchene but the asking price seems crazy

What would you guys give up for Turris?

Jack Johnson for Turris swap? They're both free agents after this season. Would be a good stop-gap this season for the forwards and wouldn't deplete our LHD depth for the future

For Turris? JJ or Murray. He's probably just a rental and has never had the extra gear Duchene has/had.

Has also never won the lottery.

Panarin - Wennberg - Atkinson
Dubois - Dubinsky - Bjorkstrand
Calvert - Foligno - Anderson
Heiniken - Sedlak - Milano
Motte (assuming Anderson is signed and Jenner is still injured)

Werenski-Jones
Johnson-Savard
Murray-Carlsson
Harrington (Nuti to Cleveland for 2 games)

Bob/Korpi

A healthy Jenner, a trade for Duchene or Taveres and getting Anderson signed would make our roster look a lot better.

I'd even be okay with making a deal with VGK to get Wild Bill back.

Im sure Jarmo wishes he could be cant trade for Karlsson from Vegas for a certain amount of time which i cant remember. I kind of liked the idea of when Henriques name was thrown around as a possibility but not sure if NJ would trade in the division, what they would want and if they would even consider moving him

Is Jenner going to be able to go game 1? I have serious concerns about our depth, I don't think Dalpe or Sedlak are good enough to be a 3C.
As Lee pointed out, Foligno is your #3 center. In regards to our depth, our center depth may be below average/average, but we're well above league average depth at every other position. Not a concern IMO.

I think we could go after a player like Henrique, Granlund etc 2/3 C and get a deal done. No need for Duchene but I'd prefer to not have players play out of their natural position.

Could Anderson + Stenlund land Granlund? I think it could.

Why would Minnesota do this? Anyways, Granlund doesn't even play center for them...

That doesn't make me feel much better..
Look at a team like Florida. All centers are slotted where they should be. The rest of the team? Yikes.
We have the exact opposite situation.

We're not a top 5 team like last year simply because we won't have a crazy winning streak. But we're a solid bet for the playoffs, which is fine with me. This team is very young.

I'm assuming you meant Atkinson on line 1, where you have Foligno?

Another center is necessary, unless we think Foligno can handle a full season there. I'm not sure he can, but we'll see.

We could call Foligno the weatherman - he plays with Sonny and 77.

Too bad you felt you had to Cher that. :)
