By the numbers he had a very similar offensive output to Lucic in his draft year (albeit with 8 games less played Bertuzzi had 3 points more). Lucic EXPLODED the year after though.

I don't think that's that bad. If he can score 15-20 a year it's fine.

I really don't understand where the Wings are coming from with this draft. It's as if, after they drafted Mantha and found themselves out of the running for Nichushkin, they simply said "******* it!" to drafting skill players. Everything after Mantha looks to be grinder prospects or "high-middling" potential, the Swede aside.

It also seems like Ken Holland has once again "struck-out" in terms of moving out the glut of middling players.

Legwand was supposed to be the next Modano. That never really panned out.
