After this is done, the biggest story of the Red Wings offseason will be whether the Flyers re-sign Kent Huskins, we need that conditional 7th :D

I say we take the one in the middle with his mouth hanging open. Look at that stance; perfect balance. That little ******* can probably throw a mean hip check and for once it's no big deal if Holland wants to stash him in the minors forever.

Don't sleep on this kid.

Any Youtube stars in this draft class? We've been going for those lately: Sheahan, Jurco and Athanasiou....

as much as i love the draft, there's way too much blah blah on NHL network and TSN.

It would probably be something like

XO/Srpoul, forward prospect, CC/Quincey and a 1st?

No way it takes that much, nobody has to trade the Canucks anything. They are in a terrible position cap wise, it will lean more on the Canucks giving Detroit a bargain to take Edler off their hands.

Both Sedins need to be locked up next year and they will have only 13 mil in cap space for that season. They only have 15 roster spots at a best case scenario of 1 mil in cap space if both sign the same contracts they currently have (and they won't).

Brutal.
It's a 4th rate production. it ranks with the NHL awards ceremony as some of the worst television around

You get the impression it's a "Canadianized" version of what the NFL and NBA do; which is fine but oh yes it does mean idiots will blather for hours.

I mean I get that the NHL wants to be the big time, but have you ever listened to Dick Vitale talk about prospects? Mind numbing/painful.

It's just not very "hockey" imo; whatever that means (as even I don't know).

You mean you didn't enjoy Nate MacKinnon and Seth Jones telling the story of how MacKinnon woke up really early this morning, then they went back to sleep.

That was some emmy worthy television. :sarcasm:

Looks like Kenny may not be trading Fil's rights.

I read that he couldn't find a taker once Flip said he was going to test the FA market.

Nobody wanted to give anything up for the rights to someone who wouldn't entertain offers until Free Agency begins.

Sounds about right; I mean why the hell would anything to do with Val eventually work out for us right? :)

They ought to have more interviews lined up with junior coaches to kill some of the "chatter to fill time"
