As much as I've been pleased by the game and production of Kuhlman, i have often thought that Senyshyn could duplicate similar results next to Krejci... he's bigger, a little faster, and better hands/shot than Kuhlman.

We'll see. Good luck kid, we are all rooting for you!!

I've never seen him play, I've read a ton on him,I've seen highlights of him and all that you say, seems to be the consensus opinion on him, but hows his Hockey sense ?

Because with out it, all those tools will only get you so far. Kuhlman who has shown great wheels a tremendous work ethic, also has real good hockey sense, so I wonder could this be the reason he got the call ahead of Senyshyn?

I'm going to take a guess and say we see Marchand and Johansson in there. Krejci out to rest and obviously Wagner out with a LBI/Rest.

Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pastrnak
DeBrusk -- Frederic -- Kuhlman
Johansson -- Coyle -- Heinen
Nordstrom -- Acciari -- Senyshyn

I forgot Backes.....

Always has been and always will be my problem with this pick. It isn't Senyshyn's fault where he was picked but he was picked ahead of a lot of very good players and so far he has been a bust. Hopefully he becomes another Mantha but at this point I will take a physical, fast bottom 6 RW.

I doubt he ever lives up to the draft position but that is Gretzky's and Sweeney's fault not Senyshyn's. Wishing him the best.
Dom told me that afternoon Senyshyn was a guy that Boston is likely targeting but the 33 Carlo pick seemed to be the area

I’m hoping he gets in and especially Saturday since I’m going

I think they're letting Krejci play all 82. I'll be really surprised if he sits.

There's still time for him to outscore Barzal
I think it was between Colin White and Senyshyn

White is pretty damn good. I wonder if Boston would take him over Barzal. Clearly not electric like Barzal but plays the Bruins style

Leading up to draft the word was Boston was heavily scouting him and were big fans

I expected him at 15

One thing I hope for the last two games is that Johansson is healthy and playing with Coyle and Heinen (who I would like to be the 3rd piece there) to gain chemistry. Maybe Marchand sits out? This will be much more fun to discuss tomorrow when we see the lines.

So if Frederic/Senyshyn are both recalled on emergency basis and Krejci, Wagner, Marchand and Johansson are the ones not practicing today, does that mean that those two can only play for the guys on that list?
Interesting question. I've never thought that emergency recalls are policed/scrutinized to that level, just thought teams were allotted a limited amount of them to use at their discretion.

I'm excited to see Senyshyn make his debut. I know many are down on him because of things that are out of his control, but I still like the skills he has. The question is just if he'll put it together for a solid NHL career or not.

There's probably 3 groups of fans that will be watching Senyshyn debut, with two being the major groups and those are:

Group A - Wants to see him light it up to quiet the naysayers

Group B - Wants him to be invisible and useless so they can say I told you so.

Then there is Group C. This group is a very small sliver of the Bruins fan base. This group...

Group C - Wants to see how Senyshyn looks against NHL level talent.

That said I want the A's to win.

I don't want to see him be useless, I want him to succeed and help the Bruins long-term.

I just have no expectations of that and maybe will be watching him with a biased eye expecting to be unimpressed. But I'd be happy if he did become a player. I just think the pick was an inexcusable waste by Sweeney and that he'll never come close to contributing like the people drafted behind him will. But I hope he does well regardless, I'd be thrilled to be wrong.

Senyshyn was always a project. In today's fast food mentality, everyone wants everything right this second. Doesn't work that way most of the time.

Bruins don't care about his offense. They knew where it was and they knew the skill set was there.

It was the defensive side of the puck that they wanted him to work on and why he wasn't placed in a predominantly offensive role.

People who just look at TheAHL.com don't get it/don't want to get it and have never done simple research on what the player was all about.

He may pan out, he may not. Obviously the majority here (and other places) don't have the patience to wait and find out.

I remember all the regular posters that called Jake DeBrusk Jake DeBust. (I saved all their names and learned not to take anything they say and put any value on it when it comes to player evaluations)

Have a beer, sit back and relax FCOL. And don't judge things on just one game.

A thousand miles from nowhere
I might be having a senior moment, but I believe Sweeney said they liked him in junior because he produced even while playing the bottom six. If he can carry that over to this level, there will always be a spot on some team in the bottom six for him.

my opinion .. i think he would look really good next to coyle.. coyle has underrated speed and can dominate possesion .. let senyshyn speed up the side and gain some confidence in the nhl.. i really dont understand why anyone would root against this kid..if he succeeds he makes the bruins more valuable, our scouts more valuable, our gm more credible.. just a snowball of good things, yet people would rather put another notch on their keyboard tough guy belt??

I also told you he was going to be a few years and a lot of fans were going to crap all over this pick. But if he put it all together he would be alright. Game 81 of the season should not be the judge of that.

Why do you want him to play

If anybody other than Carlo, Chara need rest ... its Krejci

Unless you are dying go see Krejci + Senyshyn play
If you asked me where I would like to see Senyshyn play most, it would be on a line with Debrusk and Krejci. Let’s see what this kid can do with some offensive talent. I know Kuhlman has looked good there, let’s see how Senyshyn looks.

The one thing I'm most interested in seeing is how his speed and size plays against NHLers. Can't really judge much else in the last couple of games of season.
