I would probably go something like that for the habs (I'll be honest, I didn't really follow 2021 draft, so take this with a grain of salt):

1. Kaiden Guhle
2. Mattias Norlinder
3. Cayden Primeau
4. Jordan Harris
5. Ryan Poehling
6. Jan Mysak
7. Jayden Struble
8. Jesse Ylonen
9. Luke Tuch
10. Sean Farrell

Man, I will admit that as a Wings fan, I am insanely jealous of the Ducks' pool. The Wings have a deep, strong D pool but the Ducks just have more guys that Im jealous of. Maybe its one of those grass is always greener on the other side type situations

I think the pools are pretty close… but we have a lot of interesting middle prospects like perreault, lacombe, thrun, zellweger, pastujov, colengelo groulx

Here's how I see our top ten, including projected ceiling (not necessarily where they'll land):
  1. RD 1D Moritz Seider
  2. LW 1W Lucas Raymond
  3. LD 1D Simon Edvinsson
  4. GT 1G Sebastian Cossa
  5. LD 2D Albert Johansson
  6. LC 2C Joseph Veleno
  7. RW 2W Jonatan Berggren
  8. LD 2D William Wallinder
  9. LD 2D Shai Buium
  10. LC 3C Theodor Niederbach
HM: LD Jared McIsaac, who is hard to project due to time lost to injury.
GOD DAMN THAT LIST THICC! <3 Especially those tall fast skating defensemen. Detroit will be tough nut to crack.

Sticking to players under 22 who haven't played in the NHL, since I consider 24-year-olds who haven't made the NHL yet to be depth players and not prospects, the Flames' prospect power ranking looks something like this:

1. Matthew Coronato
2. Connor Zary
---
3. Jakob Pelletier
4. Dustin Wolf (my favourite prospect personally, but goalies are voodoo and I'll wait to see how he transitions to the AHL before I proclaim him our next saviour)
5. Jérémie Poirier
---
6. Ryan Francis
T-7. William Strömgren
T-7. Cole Jordan
9. I'm running out of plausible/non-embarrassing names here... let's say Emilio Pettersen
10. Yan Kuznetsov?

The top 5 is pretty clear to me and after that there's a whole lot of huh and maybe.

2022 pick should probably be number 2 here but oh well. Projections are absolute player ceilings, not what I expect each player will actually reach.

1. Dylan Guenther - top line RW
2. Victor Sodastrom - top pair RHD
3. Barrett Hayton - 2C/1C tweener
4. Jan Jenik - 2C / top 6 winger
5. Vladislav Kolyachonok - top 4 LHD
6. Matias Maccelli - top 6 winger
7. Ivan Prosvetov - Starting goalie
8. Josh Doan - top 6/9 RW
9. JJ Moser - second pair LHD
10. Liam Kirk - top 6/9 LW

Honorable mentions: Ilya Fedotov (top six LW), John Farinacci (3C), Ben McCartney (bottom 9 winger)

If they could get a bit of luck and add one of the top centers in 2020….look out.

Oilers. I’m counting McLeod as graduated even though he hasn’t played many NHL games, he appears locked in to our roster full time now. Marody not counted as well as he’s older.

1. Holloway (C/W)
2. Bouchard (D)
3. Broberg (D)
4. Samorukov (D)
5. Bourgault (C/W)
6. Benson (W)
7. Lavoie (W)
8. Savoie (W)
9. Skinner (G)
10. Konovalov (G)

HM: Petrov, Berglund, and Tullio

Othmann is too low. At worst he is 8th. At best he is 5th.

Everyone massively overrates their own prospects and doesn't really understand the probabilities surrounding prospects.

No, you are incorrectly assuming that I don't know what I am talking about and have thrown out a bunch of trivial nonsense that everyone here already knows in an attempt to look clever.

Well, you don't. You literally listed 6 prospect defensemen and said every single one projects to the NHL. That is not how prospect probability works, at all. So no, you don't know what you're talking about. I gave some pretty substantive reasoning why. I was pretty fair and you just come back being condescending. So now I'll just flat out say you have absolutely no clue.

Call me when everyone on your list is a full-time NHL regular.

If only the wings were still in the western conference :( I loved ducks v. Wings playoff battles

Suppose I should post my personal list for the Wings....
1. Seider
2. Raymond
3. Edvinsson
4. Berggren
5. Cossa
6. Veleno
7. Johansson
8. Viro
9. Sebrango
10. Neiderbach

HMs: McIsaac, Tuomisto, Buium
I honestly believe that every player listed has a strong shot at making the NHL. Obviously, they wont all be with the Wings. It's a good problem to have.
