Who was it on Tampa that he didn’t even play a shift in a playoff game against us in ‘07? I think that was the night he got into with MacLean.
Nate hasn't been himself but Lazar's been insane so it's really not much of an issue with a healthy lineup (if that exists)
This has some "Stu Bickel in the 2012 playoffs" vibes to it. Dude played like 3 minutes in a 2OT game.
Also, I think it's hilarious that Hathaway ended up with more ice time than Farabee despite being tossed at the end of the first period.

They spent too much time in their zone - likely at least in part because of Dougie’s absence - but I thought nonetheless they played fine defensively otherwise. No guys completely uncontested in the slot, no odd man rushes, no clear breakaways.
Luke getting the OT winner was poetic given the obvious attempt to injure and miraculous return to the game.
This league is f***ing trash and the devils have to get it through their thick skulls that they need to start playing dirty because almost every team is trying to intentionally injure them knowing the devils are stupid soft. Grow some balls guys, the league doesn’t give a shit and will not do anything worse than minor penalties and maybe a fine for anything that’s not an obvious shot to the head.

Yeah Nate just hasn't been good. He needs to come out if we ever ice a healthy lineup.
Because Bastian is playing with Tierney.
Bastian with McLeod was excellent.
But he doesn't do enough with the puck to carry a line. He can be a very good glue guy as McLeod's sidekick.
His problem might be that McLeod might be too good for the 4th line, AND Holtz looks like he is Mikey's new right handed wing man.
I like Palat McLeod Holtz.
Haula McLeod Holtz was very good in their short run as well.

Dano was pretty amazing tonight, the last minutes from him were mostly pained moaning while he nervously rooted for the team and feared the worst would happen. He bleeds Devils Red through and through, the big goof.
I've always thought the Haula-Jack stuff was pretty dumb but I'd probably take Haula over Mercer with Jack at this point.
