EDIT: Everyone OK if I change my #71 pick after the last pick in this draft is made? I have no idea why I drafted Malone, let-alone in that spot.

:sharks 2013 draft

1. (10) Ryan Pulock 6'1 210 D WHL Brandon
2. (40) Mirco Mueller 6'4 185 D WHL Everett
5. (130) Jesse Lees 6'0 180 D WHL Kelowna
6. (160) Tyler Lewington 6'1 190 D WHL Medecine Hat
7. (190) Hunter Garlent 5'09 165 C OHL Guelph
7. (193) Nick Paul 6'2 200 LW OHL Brampton

Wasn't looking for anything other than drafting the BPA at each selections, pretty happy with my mockdraft overall, especially with the first three picks. Glad I could grab Garlent and Paul with my two 7th round picks, I expect a lot more of them in the near future. The Pulock-Mueller duo is just solid, and I could also add Lees who I was surprised was still available in the 5th round. Considering I had no 3rd and 4th round picks, I'm pretty happy of the way things turned out. Thanks for this mock and see you guys in another one !

:bolts are proud to select, with their final pick of the 2013 Entry Draft, Mikhail Naumenkov!

Frédérik Gauthier - Center (12th Overall)
Gage Ausmus - Defender (120th Overall)
Taylor Green - Defender (137th Overall)
Cooper Rush - Defender (167th Overall)
Mikhail Naumenkov - Defender (197th Overall)
Michael Stone - Defender (Acquired through trade)

Very happy with our draft selections. We added a great young center in Gauthier who looks to be a big part of our future, and also gained some great size on our back-end for the future in Stone, Green, Rush, Ausmus, and now Naumenkov. Very excited to see how these players develop and how they do in the future.

Dallas looks to be done with their moves and picks at this Entry Draft, and their GM couldn't be happier. After their defense proved to be embarrassingly last season, it was the big thing he wanted to shore up over the summer, and it couldn't have gone over better. Seth Jones, the #2 overall pick, will make an instant impact and only looks to get better, and adding a stud like Hedman gives them one of the deeper defenses in the league. Everyone seems to be in their place now, and the Stars look to have a bright future ahead of them.

Eriksson - Benn - Jagr
Whitney - Roy - R. Smith
Pouliot - Eakin - Vincour
Nystrom - Fiddler - Roussel/Garbutt

Jones - Hedman
Goligoski - Oleksiak
Dillon - Larsen
Nemeth

Lehtonen
Nilstrop/Bachman

Players Acquired:

Victor Hedman - Defender (Trade)
Benoit Pouliot - Winger (Trade)
Seth Jones - Defender (2nd Overall)
Alexei Bereglazov - Defender (129th Overall)

Projected Defense in 5 Years:

Jones - Hedman
Oleksiak - Larsen
Nemeth - Dillon
Sinitsyn - Bereglazov

Whew.

In that case, Vancouver's roster for opening night looks like so:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Kassian
JVR-Schroeder-Kadri
Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen
Weise

Hamhuis-Edler
Garrison-Bieksa
Ballard-Tanev
Vandermeer

Luongo
Lack

If I had to fit that under the cap I would probably have to trade Booth and Ballard for picks and replace them with Jensen and Corrado, respectively. That said, I'd be interested in trading them retroactively for some picks already taken. Booth to the Devils for Sorensen or Ballard to the Senators for Baptiste are some ideas that I think might work for both teams.

May as well try sticking as close to reality as possible. PM me if anyone's interested.
