If, as expected, the one-year deal is $1.5M, it would be fitting. That would make Lundqvist “whole” on $4.5M salary he was scheduled to get for 20-21. $3M of it would be in his buyout from the Rangers (paid out over two years) but $1.5M would top him back up to $4.5M total.

Some serious pipe dreams going on here.
Hank is a shell of his former self. He wants to start, or split.
Anything could happen, but the odds of Hank regaining his form are slim.
His current form is still a decent upgrade on Holtby for the Capitals at a fraction of the cost.

Can someone clear up the tampering window for me? I thought they did away with the legal window meaning all these rumored deals would involve illegal tampering no?

I think tampering happens more than you think behind the scenes.

The problem is unless their is a paper trail or strong evidence to suggest tampering, nothing ever happens.

It is like the embellishment penalty. You see diving all the time, but it is rarely called for embellishment. lol
