Good deal for Winnipeg now but like the poster above said, might not be the best move for the Jets long term.

Pickering, Ontario
1 down 4 to go in terms of night tfs

Nylander
Reinhart
Nurse
Theodore

All left along with some lesser young players.

Overall not the best deal. 2 more seasons putting up 35-40 point(increased offensive usage) and your looking at the high 6s for his new deal.

Good today, but will probably cost the Jets in the long run.

You can't sign every single high end player for longterm contract in 12months time.

Helle, Wheeler, Ehlers, Laine, Connor, Morrissey, (Trouba).
Morrissey is the safest with being a defensive D-man insead of high end offensive forward.

He should've looked for more term. Great player, but his style of play leads to injury. He's one of winnipegs most under rated defencemen. Hope injures don't occur cause he's a beaut

I don't see that at all. What about his game makes you feel that he'll be prone to injury?
