Man Jagr simply loves to play the game. 43 years old, nothing left to prove and still picking up the phone when his country calls.

Did Luongo decline to play or something?

No idea, but to me there's no excuse, he should have been there. It isn't like he doesn't live with his family the rest of the year.

MA Fleury should have been invited (if he wasn't). Hell, even Jonathan Bernier would be preferable.

When we have a goaltending duo of Smith and Jones...ugh.

There are so many hilarious things going on in this picture.

1 - the guy with the flag on the left going horizontal in his celebration
2 - The girl with the patterned arm sleve going nuts
3 - The guy doing some weird arm flailing in the middle
4 - The chill guy just swiping on his phone
5 - the guy in the front nodding for no reason
6 - The guy in the back with a really girlish clap
7 - The beer "UFO" coming from the top

Ain't that the truth. Masalskis is pretty much useless when it comes to a Regular Season (be that 50-something games in the KHL, as an example). Might mean that he'd be amazing in the playoffs which, the World Championship sorta is.
