Using that waiver wire priority.
Then after Nov. 1st what is it determined by?until nov. 1st, waiver order is determined by the reverse standings of the previous season, so 17-18 in this case. sabres, sens and yotes were ahead of us.
Current standings. Then after Nov. 1st what is it determined by?
Isn't that the same thing? Worst to first has priority?Current standings.

Ok. I got it now. Thanks. So that means worst teams from last year didn't put in a claim for De la Rose? Because weren't we like 5th worst last year? Before Nov 1st, your 17-18 performance matters.
After Nov 1st, your 18-19 performance matters.
Montreal, Arizona, Ottawa, BuffaloOk. I got it now. Thanks. So that means worst teams from last year didn't put in a claim for De la Rose? Because weren't we like 5th worst last year?
Alot of Habs fans dont seem the happiest that he got claimed. Theyre saying after Plekanec got traded last year he played really well as a third line center. Maybe theres more here than most think right now. Hes still only 23
He did, But he's still on the roster.I thought he already cleared waivers and was sent down to GR.
Pretty much what i'm thinking as well.I think De La Rose fits in well with the 4th line and brings more balance. At 6'3'', 207lbs he'll take Svechnikov's place for the moment.
I could have sworn Jacob De La Rose has been in the league for like 10 years. But apparently he's 23.
Maybe there is a baseball player with a similar name that I'm confusing him with.

Very good defensively even at 19 yo he played a nearly perfect defensive game. He has no offensive upside, it's really a problem, even for a 4th liner he's crippled offensively.
I think you guys will like him. He has more offensive potential than he has shown. He played with offensive wingers at the WC and did very well. He can be a Zach Hyman type player with skilled players where he will use his speed, physical play and smarts to retrieve the puck and be in a good position.
Preferably he would do that in a 3rd line role but he can play in any role and bring speed and defensive play.
It happens from time to time.Who is going to be young and a top 9 player to hit the waiver wire?
Ah, okay.I don't believe there's a "back of the bus" rule after a waiver claim. At least, I can't find anything that says so. I think if you have priority, you maintain it as the standings dictate.

Unfortunately he won't get much help here at all, so hopefully he can do a lot of that on his own.
Looking at your line combos, I can see him doing well replacing Glendening or Ehn in those spots if you want him at centre.Hopefully he will be our "zach hyman" for our Jack Hughes or Alexis Lafreniere.
