Very good defensively even at 19 yo he played a nearly perfect defensive game. He has no offensive upside, it's really a problem, even for a 4th liner he's crippled offensively.

I think De La Rose fits in well with the 4th line and brings more balance. At 6'3'', 207lbs he'll take Svechnikov's place for the moment.

Very good defensively even at 19 yo he played a nearly perfect defensive game. He has no offensive upside, it's really a problem, even for a 4th liner he's crippled offensively.

Pretty much how I've always seen him, when still a junior you were thinking he would maybe improve enough offensively and one day become a 2nd line C. But that never happened. That stuff about 4th line might be a stretch though.

He can be a Zach Hyman type player with skilled players where he will use his speed, physical play and smarts to retrieve the puck and be in a good position.

Preferably he would do that in a 3rd line role but he can play in any role and bring speed and defensive play.

I don't believe there's a "back of the bus" rule after a waiver claim. At least, I can't find anything that says so. I think if you have priority, you maintain it as the standings dictate.

Looking at your line combos, I can see him doing well replacing Glendening or Ehn in those spots if you want him at centre.
