Different areas as in Tier 2 is centered around the Toronto area whereas Jr B is SW Ontario. Players from Jr B don't move up so they can play NCAA as well. Players from the NHL have played in Jr B, I don't think you can find many players from Div 3 that have made it. Div 3 is trash hockey, just like Jr C.
I mean you're not wrong on Div 3 being trash for the most part. But still even looking at Div 3 goalies: Elmira College (just picking an example I lived near, a decent team but not a powerhouse for that level) both of their regulars in net had significant junior A time. OJHL, CCHL, SJHL. Bad as it is to say the guys that make it to even Div 3 and make it as a starter that haven't played Junior A are pretty rare. It can happen, one of the tandem for Babson played Tier 2 in the US, but it's not something that happens all that often.

Just trying to teach your board some hockey knowledge, I get it if people from Carolina don't care about that.
Yeah I'm not the person to try that on. I've been following this sport for over 30 years at a wide variety of levels. I won't pretend I'm Brock in terms of knowledge but trying to drop a knowledge bomb on a guy that has followed NCAA hockey (div 1 and div 3) since the early 90s and has covered the WJC for this website generally tends to not work out that well.

Being an asshat "knowledge dropper" in general tends to not work out well.

Dave drops knowledge every time he goes to the bathroom.

I’m feeling some Chuck Norris action here.

We scored some and they scored some but our team scored more.

Nothing else needs to be said. Nothing at all.

Oh yeah, Dave Ayers was the #1 star of the game, I know you know who that is so I won't bother explaining who he is to you.

You mean Canes legend, GOAT of all time Zamboni driver/backup goalie supreme Dave Ayres?

A guy basically off the street, nearly 43 yrs old, one kidney...had an .800 save percentage in half a game against the vaunted (and very well-paid) Toronto Maple Leafs offense. And oh, by the way, we were without 2 of our usual starting defensemen.

Unbelievable! A movie script like this would get thrown out for being unrealistic.

Unfortunately I didn’t see it live, and only followed the score on my phone. That’s how I followed it:

Canes down 0-1 after one.
Me:“Oh well, could be worse.“
Checking Twitter: „Oh Reimer is out“
Checking score mid second: ”Yes, up 4-1, looks great!“
Checking score at the end of 2nd: ”Damn it Mrazek, make a save!“
Checking Twitter and realizing Mrazek is out as well: ”Oh well, another L incoming“
Checking final score: ”Oh wow, I guess Mrazek went back in.“
After reading about Ayres on Twitter : ” Wait, WHAT???!!???“
