If it was the wayne simmonds of a couple of years ago. Sure without question.

I voted Simmonds only because I feel that's who Sweeney will target after he can't close on the Stones, Panarins, and Duchees of the world and he'll then think he needs to get big and heavy up front so unfortunately, I think he ends up with Simmonds or possibly Ferland.

Toffoli would be a nice consolation prize but I just don't have much faith in Sweeney.

I voted Simmonds, I don't want him. I think Sweeney goes hard after Stone, but Ottawa doesn't want to trade him in the division. Then he goes after Toffoli, but the price will be too high so he then settles for Simmonds and maybe a secondary player like Brassard or Dzingel. I hope he proves me wrong though.

Not sure if everyone on this board knows exactly how good Mark Stone is.

He'd be literally the perfect Bruins player. Best defensive winger in the game, masterful with forcing turnovers and an pot ~25 goals while playing a big skilled game. Big difference maker.

Bruins would have to give up a haul to get him, but I'd do it without thinking twice. He's that elite.

I don't think DS goes after Simmonds, I think he has learned to stay away from aging former power forwards like Backes and Nash. I think he gets someone like Dzingel or hopefully Stone/Duchene.
