lol. It's Matthews and it is obvious to most people. Everyone in the know, coaches, GM's, media all know it's Matthews. HF thinks it's Marner.
Considering the ice time and line mate disparity this is not hard to figure out with production so close.
It's true that is a factor but it doesn't really change anything. I think Marner's contribution is more flashy but as recently as yesterday Boston's coach said what every other non HF NHL expert says. Matthews is the man. Marner will say the same.Marner kills penalties that’s why there’s a discrepancy.
What was his exact quote? I don't see anything about him saying that.Interesting comment from Bruce Cassidy; he says Marner is the leafs' best player, in his opinion.
@7:46 ... he says "their best player, in my estimation, scores a goal (talking about the penalty shot goal)"What was his exact quote? I don't see anything about him saying that.

It's only a thing on HF and that says everything.
ahhhh yes, that Crosby like 68 point avg a year dominationMatthews is the no brainer here.
So happy we have them all.
Matthews has that Crosby thing where you can put him with anyone and he’ll dominate and put up elite numbers.
That’s too hard to pass up.
