Joel Farabee was born in Syracuse, NY but his Dad is actually from the Greater Philadelphia area and the family are all Eagles fans. Close enough.

Where was he raised? I was born and raised in the Syracuse area but my parents had been living in Philadelphia the previous 10 years before I was born, so I'm admittedly a bit curious.

Off topic. But there seems to be no current NHL players with a New York accent. Not even Fox who is from Nassau County.

And New York accent means NYC area (Five Boroughs). Not Western NY.

It’s always seemed curious to me how so few players are from the NYC area. Even though it’s not a “hockey town” they do have three teams and sheer population size would seem to dictate that it should be well represented.

How many players are from NYC proper? Nick Fotiu, Matthieu Schneider, and....?

Born and raised lol and trust me Markham is not Toronto.
Markham is the bubble people. But literally there is no break in the city. You cross steeles and thats all.

Its one city. There is no difference.

Lol can't expect anything normal from a thread the Leafs shine in. HF classic.

I cannot think of a more petty topic to argue over. If you don't consider the GTA to be Leaf territory you are better served by silence.
