The school literally celebrated Paterno this past season.

Nope. I'll start giving them a pass once the Cult of Paterno is dead, and that doesn't look to be happening any time soon.

And twenty years ago? Uh... no, it may have happened for twenty years, but we're not talking about the ye olde days here. This was the very recent past.

I don't begrudge the current players and coaches and the fans who have moved on from Paterno and contribute to support the program, but there remains a division, not small, of those who want the statue returned and it doesn't seem like the program itself has when they had a "tribute" or celebration just this year.

If only that 4th down call had been spotted correctly. Michigan and Wisky would've played, nobody would care about Penn State, etc...

Penn State should still be in purgatory. No bowl games for like 20 years. **** that program.

Yup. It's disgusting that they even have a football program or that any networks are willing to televise their games.

I would love to see the committee come out pick Ohio State and say that Ped State was not considered for the playoff spot due to moral reasons.

That is such bull. The university should still be held accountable for their actions regardless of if those involved are still with the team or not.

Very impressive come-from-behind victory for PSU. That TD before halftime gave them momentum and it carried through the second half.

Bingo. When fans of the program acted (and still act) like Paterno was the real victim in all this mess that's all that needs to be said. The cult's still there, and will be for generations, the program should flat out have been shut down. Either by the NCAA or the school itself going all U of Chicago on this ****.

WMU vs Wisconsin in the cotton bowl

Penn State vs USC in the rose bowl.

It really upsets me how little they were punished for everything, just downright sad.

Knowing the cult, they'll claim honoring Paterno the enabler restored the "glory" at Penn State

Just realized that Virginia Tech went up in the rankings despite losing. Glad to see someone finally not get nailed to the cross for losing to a better team.

Temple also into the rankings at 23, but Military Bowl is kind of weak sauce. Temple obviously preferring the day trip as opposed to trips to Florida or Birmingham, but they also get a 6-win Wake Forest.

They are the ones whose lawsuit brought out the information that about this going back to the 70's . Seeing some of them rage about not getting in is wonderful.

Lol. So many tears in this thread. Go buy yourself a box of tissues.

B1G Champs!

Keep flying that Ped State banner high and proud, bud. Supporting that football program after all that went on there for decades says a lot about a person's character IMO.
