Sami Vatanen is a higher priority then Hall in terms of re-signing.

Hall just needs to get traded.

picked up game in the third saw the hall lucky goal and the subsequent ear thing.... cya you dick... GTFO I'm older and have watched this proud franchise win 3 cups and almost two more.. never saw a player call out his own fans like that... shame on shero and hynes if this guy dresses for this team again scratch him and find a trade partner

No one played that OT well IMO. A lot of selfish plays. Zero cohesion.

Zacha should get more shifts, but Hynes has no faith in him for whatever reason.
As you said we are not well coached. OT and the shootout are examples. Personnel in both. Would love to have seen Bratt and Gusev in the shootout. Gusev’s in the press box. Yes we got some pk from Rooney and Hayden but is it worth it? In OT we have no particular strategy. Cough the puck up way to senselessly. Don’t run the little picks and rub plays you see Arizona and the Bruins do and other clubs do . . . I love this team actually but we don’t play a smart game.

yeah not sure why he hates pavel.. he is clearly the best all around forward on this team right now.
Not irresponsible enough with the puck. Should be trying to force stretch passes and coughing the puck up at the bluelines constantly.

They got out shot and out shot attempted again at 5 on 5. They did not play well. A few individual players may have, but the team did not.

Yup, not perfect. But we drew more penalties than we took, our powerplay produced, and our penalty kill was great. I mean, it's not all going to come together at once, people understand that, right?

Bratt is skating directly into three Flyers and coughing the puck up.

I think Bratt may have forgotten that this was no longer 5v5 where he could draw defenders and then have other teammates be in the immediate vicinity for him to pass the puck.

It was a poor decision on his part but I also think he perhaps wanted to make something happen and maybe get a game-winner...

It is what it is. :dunno:

much easier to replace coaches like Hynes than players like Hall. I’m all for trading him come deadline time if we’re done but at least let’s get a new voice in the room first

That and having a new voice and better performance under a new coach could boost Hall’s value

We were good 5v5 against Arizona and Tampa Bay. Again, it's not all going to come together at once.

The Coyotes were on the last leg of a 3 of 4 while we had 6 days rest. The Lightning were on the second end of a back to back while we had 5 days rest.

Those should have been schedule wins and the goaltending f***ed. It was kind of like last year when they started the season catching a few teams on short rest and we thought the team was going to be dominant. How did that work out?

Zacha, Bratt, Gusev, Boqvist (small sample, but whatever)

Certain players get held accountable on this team, others do not.

A coach needs to hold everyone accountable or he becomes toxic to the locker room. In my opinion, I've seen enough of Hynes to say he gives American players an absurdly long leash that he doesn't extend to others. Hayden. Rooney. Wood. Carrick. Tennyson. And while Hughes and Palms obviously are far superior to those players, I feel like they both do not get punished for mistakes like they would if they happened to not be American.

And in general he holds NA vs Euro players to different standards as well.

It’s not coming together at all. We aren’t a team playing well with bad luck.

We are a bad team getting the results it deserves.

I don't think we're playing well yet, but I do think we're doing some things better and I believe the play can continue to improve. The power play and penalty kill, for example, are worlds better.

Right, every single team we play decently against is a bad team or having a bad night. Forget that the Flyers were supposed to be a playoff team this year, Tampa was the odds on cup favorite, Arizona is 1 point out of a playoff spot, and Vancouver is in one.

Who had the Flyers pegged as a playoff team? Besides maybe the Flyers themselves. They were supposed to be a borderline team at best, just like we were supposed to be a borderline team at best. You guys are making these other teams out to be better than they are, we've had eight games at home against slightly above average competition (if that) with all sorts of schedule breaks in our favor . If they can't win these games, then why should I expect them to win any game at all on this upcoming trip?

I actually can't believe people are taking a game where we got outshot and played terribly in OT as some kind of IMPROVEMENT?! Why, because we only gave up one soft goal instead of two or three? Big whoop. We know Blackwood is better than Cory though a save on that last goal would have been nice, that was Cory-like too.

And if it was reversed, TB and ARI would have been "rusty". I'm not hearing this stuff.
