No idea but keep an eye out here. We will probably have a tread for people looking to sell tickets they don't need. I know I have seasons and don't think I can make it to every game. Not sure this far out if Columbus is one of my extra dates yet but as we get closer to January I should know better which games will be extra for me.

Sounds good.. I'd likely be looking for a minimum of 2, maximum of 5.

For those who haven't, do yourself a favor and visit The Goodwich. Great gourmet-ish grilled sandwiches and other delicious treats.

Are you me? :amazed:

Heck yes, this is definitely something that I'd recommend without reservations. Locals can come by every week or so for a new pork special, or once every few months for a seasonal menu refresh, and out of towners simply can get anything that sounds good (although I and others would suggest the patty melt on marbled rye).

My wife and I have been eating their offerings since the metal shack in front of Dino's. We stopped by there this afternoon and she had the Tan Tan and I had the 'ol go to, the Patty. Love the newer location and everyone involved.

Man, those were the days. Outdoor seating was kinda not that fun, especially during this time of year, but the lady at Art of Flavors was totally cool with me coming in to have a seat. I'd always have gelato afterward.

I still miss the Foie& all the time (did catch it once when it was brought back for a special run, but it was different), but there were some things that haven't returned, like a breaded/fried pork tenderloin w/ a curry-flavored sauce of some sort (the Hawkeye didn't recapture that magic), or an albacore tuna confit sandwich that is still among my all-time favorites.

I wish I thought as much of it as you two do. My office is right out their front door. Speaking of the old shack location, I have eaten at what is in it now for like 9 Fridays in a row. Puerto Rico Express. Check it out.

If you like Puerto Rican food, Sofrito Rico on Charleston is really good. I haven't hit PR Express yet, but Puerto Rican food is generally best when served out of a shack. As a matter of fact, my location is a reference to my favorite kiosko.

The best (affordable) burger place in town is Anthony's Burgers & Brews at the M. Try it. It's delightful.

Where on Charleston? Decatur is about as far west I can go for my hour lunch break. The only downside of such a small spot is the smaller menu.

I heard that particular spot was run by the owners of Viva Las Arepas and Art of Flavors. Since The Goodwich left it was intended to be used as a pop up place and would change every few months. Now that it's something I like I hope that isn't the case.

It seems like that's the path for a lot of these places. Start up with as small an investment as possible, and turn it into something ASAP.

Sofrito Rico started off as a couple people making Puerto Rican food at festivals and stuff, then they moved into that weird food court near CSN. Their new (permanent) place is on Charleston just west of Decatur, in that shopping center they built where the old Red Rock Theaters were. Across the parking lot from Hot Dog on a Stick.

Hey guys! Leafs fan here. I'm coming down for a game in October when Vegas faces Buffalo (my buddy is a sabres fan:laugh:), is the Luxar Hotel pretty good to stay at? I know its pretty close to the arena.

I guess you can say I'm a closet Golden Knights fan haha, I'm from London and have season tickets to the London Knights so I know to cheer for any team that has a resemblance to our team in London!

As a visitor I've stayed there. I've also stayed next door at the Excalibur (multiple times). Couldn't tell the difference between the rooms but the Excal was cheaper (it's also a bit closer to the new arena). But to answer your question directly, it is pretty good to stay there.

Luxor is alright, it's a little older and a little far down the Strip to walk everywhere. It's pretty close to the arena, though.

Hope you enjoy yourself while you're here.

It's been quite a while, but has LV and/or the casinos contemplated adding on to the monorail system by adding a stop that goes through to the TMA? You'd think the properties further up the strip would want something like that for possible events there (including, of course, VGK games).

It's not right on the monorail, but the Bellagio-Monte Carlo monorail line pretty much dumps you right at the park as soon as you walk out of the Monte Carlo.
