Bumping this thread for something particular in the game industry.

Are there people who have bought No Man's Sky two years ago, but havent played much and the game case is carrying dust?

People are now talking about the redemption of Hello games. If you still haven't tried tgis summer's big update, called Next, you should. The game's mechanics has been revamped and it actually feels like a complete game now, with multiple avenues with a bit more direction and a much better working resource management.

In the first 18 months after buying the game, my log showed 45 hours of play. I've more than doubled that in the span of just 2 weeks since downloading Next.

It's worth trying if your initial interest was a good explorer/builder.

NMS is now something big, worthy and unique.

A truly different game experience than other games.

I am waiting with baited breath for the New doom Eternal to come out.. I basically creamed my pants watching the Quake Con showcase.... I am a life long fan of this game series and I was so excited when they cranked out Doom 2016.... what a treat it was to play... now I have to wait for Doom Eternal.... so long basically a Year from now

Although I was looking at the new model of Doom guy for this game... I can say I do not like the change to his armor/appearance to be honest. His look is more the retro feel as classic doom guys armor from the orginals which was not fully encapsulated. Then Doom 2016 the armor was a full suit.

I mean for realism purposes the last suit was air tight so fighting the forces of Hell on the surface of Mars was possible. Now should the Doom Marine be out in space( like in the demo where he is apparently fighting on the Moon base Phobos...... how the heck is he protected against SPACE itself. Doom guy is immune to space?

I know I know , realism in a game about fighting demons etc..... but that change bothered me.

Until then its release, I will continue to casually game on Brutal doom mixed in with a little dota 2

Also the single player story mode for the Original Unreal was a treat to replay recently... what a blast from my childhood.

Graphics look nice, but R* definitely needs to revamp how missions unfold. That they still use NPC spawning is ridiculous. Mafia 3, while pale when comparing depth and graphics, had missions that were a lot more interesting than GTA5.

Too much aimless and worthless dialogue in both RDR and GTA5. The last story i enjoyed was Niko Belic's in GTA4.

Here's hoping they'll have GTA6 in present day Miami, with a better story and revamped missions.

Also the single player story mode for the Original Unreal was a treat to replay recently... what a blast from my childhood.

The original Unreal was the first game that made me spend money on PC upgrades just for one game. 16mb 3DFX card baby.

Still have a self-contained install of it on a portable HD that I play through every now and then, along with an install of the first UT (with a ton of maps). Brilliant games.

RDR2 is a legit masterpiece , hitman2 is really good if ur into the franchise

Battlefied 5 = bf1 but ww2 reskinned SJW Feminist style probably gonna need to 170$ with all dlcs as usual

Yeah I bought it. On chapter 3 right now, but there are so many side missions and stuff, I don't think I've made a dent in it yet. It's excellent

Yeah I'm playing BFV because I'm bored and it's kinda boring. BF games usually have a season pass, this one does not (they're probably going to charge you another 80$ in a few months). They actually want you to pay 129$/year to get the premium package and that allows you to play other games.. but then Origin has a poor choice of games.

Still, there are a few likable things about BFV. I really like the fact that you can crawl in fields and not be seen.

.. but then there's the Rockets Rampage when the map is about to end. And that whole "get squad points to get bonus" really s*** and reminds me of Call of Duty too much. The planes seem to be way too fast. It's easier to snipe with a machine gun than the actual bolt-action rifle.

.. and it also makes me feel weird, as an avid fan of History and particularly of WWII, when both Germans and Americans are using the same guns. It also makes me mad that most iconic weapons from the WWII are not accessible in the first few levels. I liked the weapon unlocking system way much more in BF1 than in this one.

All my friends keep talking about RDR and most say it's easy game of the year, for sure. But then I only own a PC :/

Sorry, but I've played and finished each and every GTA game and Red Dead game and the missions are now its achille's heel. They need to sophisticate them. GTAV & RDR's online play were a complete cluster**** of assinine and pointless play. Compared to GTA4's simple online play which was a lot more fun. The games have become too massive for online deathmatches. There's too much to generate that laggers get an even bigger advantage which makes them impossible to play (in the sense that you get killed too much because of the lagging). They need to bubble zones in the map to reduce the code when in deathmatch. But they really don't care about that, cuz all they would need to do is have dedicated servers for each region so I don't end-up playing against rednecks in the midwest and spics in the west who are too far away from gane servers.

I've bought almost every R* game at launch. I stopped that after GTAV. Im playing my friend's copy of RDR2 and I already quit. Too much of the same. The graphics are really nice, that's about it. The dialogues and story are ZZZZZZZzzzzzz.

It is not bad, if you want a MP shooter its a good pick up. The gunplay/squadplay is much improved. I do miss operations mode but breakthrough is decent enough and I am sure they will make some adjustments to it to improve it.

All the mistakes with the reveal were corrected. There is no bionic pink haired prosthetic arm SJW's running around. The cosmetics have been toned way down and you don't even notice it.

Big issue with BF V is lack of content, but since there is no premium pass anymore all the content will be free. So by March we will get Rush mode/Horde mode/and Battle Royal mode.

to be frank the game is half finished at full AAA price. Battle royal in March 2019 ? it's a joke.. they are the biggest video game corpo with ubi and Tencent.


the part I hate the most about EA and is that nothing change between each game. same for NHL/Madden, etc. it's not worth the full 80$ price.
