Sympathy probably not the right word. Saying I can't relate completely, as I never had the money to even consider getting season tickets.

I'm likely at a different stage in my life than almost anyone else here, with different priorities, especially those dang economic ones. :(

But stand by that the price gouging likely should have been expected. Especially in this city, squeezing every last buck out of people is the way.

I mean, the city doesn't try to bleed you dry in one trip, that would be suicide.

Casinos refund 20% of the money high rollers lose when they go over 1 million in losses. They give them back 20% of it, comp rooms and meals and tell them they hope they had fun and to come back again. Most do and think they were done a favor so they can lose more later!

The Knights could learn from that, people need to want to keep coming back year after year and huge price increases every year (especially when the customer can clearly delineate how much extra they are paying) could be too much.

Having said that, a LOT of STH's are insufferable a-holes who feel some sort of superiority and ownership over the section they sit in. And I don't care that they can no longer get more than they paid for selling a ticket (that they price gouged themselves!), it isn't your product so I'm fine if you can't make a profit from it, or even sell at cost. You bought the product, not the ability to re-sell said product and make extra money.

So I don't feel sympathy there, either.

True all dat. :DD

I wasn't really thinking about high rollers though. (Or even conventioneers.) Thinking about the squeeze on the average Jonesies. Things like paid parking, resort fees, concession fees, surge pricing at the gift/notions/sundries shops, the possibility of free  drinks on the casino floors disappearing at certain strip casinos, etc. and on and on ad nauseam.

These issues rarely affect me, as I'm not much of a gambler nor do I land on the strip often. But I know it's affecting tourists. Las Vegas has long since stopped being the value destination it once was. Yes, I know it might still be, compared to some other places, but it's not what it was. Even in a strong economy, visitation numbers are fairly flat at best, even if you believe the LVCVA propaganda. (And I don't pay much attention to McCarran numbers; they can be quite misleading.) Yet I also recognize that the average type person is an increasingly less important demographic to the Wharton bean counters.

When the next recession eventually arrives, and it will sooner or later, I'm afraid it will make the last one look like the good old days!

I gotta look into the selling of our contract. We committed for 5 years and had a 3 year cost freeze and we're in sec 15 so yeah they are finally going to make a ton of money next season off of me or whoever takes over these seats. My girlfriend sometimes prefers watching at home because she finds it hard to see the puck going into the net so she rather watch slo mo replays on tv and it's easier for her to see everything that's happening on the ice and she likes hearing commentary as she's still a hockey noob.

Success in season 1, gave Foley and upper management a license to print money and take advantage of fans who want to be there as it's the "in" thing to do for locals. I remember talking to people at work if they were going to any home games before season 1, and no one said they going as many said they rather go to ufc or waiting for 2018 to watch the local soccer team play at cashman. Now I get requests all the time asking me if I'm not going to a game. I still can make some money because of my locked in price, but the experience is not as great as the first season and if I can sell my contract, I will. I'm hoping for baseball to come to Vegas as it'll have cheaper tickets than hockey and football.

Foley slaps his name everywhere in TMobile. And there's way more of the upper crust folks that are there because it's something that they brag about and to be seen. I'm always amazed by families who have season tix for their the kids. If I had kids, I wouldn't get them season tickets. Sure I would take them to a game here or there, but it's way too expensive to get them season tix imho.

My experience of home games is what Boris is experiencing. If anyone passes the new custom home community, The Summit, where trop turns into town center, you can see Foley's megamansion being built. I think he paid $6.5million for just the lot. That's where all of the money goes.

Am I reading correctly that I have to opt out of full season parking and Goose Island Passes or whatever by tomorrow or they'll charge me for it even though I haven't asked for it and they haven't told me the price?

Hi all,

Looking to get tickets for the Feb 17 game vs Washington, I see there's some standing room tickets available on the site. How is the view from up there, seems like it's the most affordable way to get into the building. Also, is there a promotion/giveaway schedule anywhere? Thanks in advance!

Hey hello,
Just wondering about single game playoff ticket prices and availability?
I'll be in Vegas in may and would definitely like to see a game if tickets arent ridiculous.

Much thanks!

The Knights tickets department delays everything til the last possible minute. Everything but take our money.

Regardless, since the team hasn't clinched a playoff spot, I wouldn't expect to hear anything as a season ticket holder until the end of March. I would assume single game sales would happen about a week before the first playoff game is scheduled.

Imagine if the deceased Beatles were resurrected and they did a one time reunion show in London. The public scramble for those tickets at drop time would be similar to VGK playoff games once STH have gotten their shot (hyperbole, but that paints the picture). Gone in minutes. Resale, start at ~$200, maybe $250, +fees for lowest price seats for first round and go up from there in terms of both rounds and seat levels.

I wouldn't buy tix from Stubhub before you see them on Flash Seats. Those are speculative offers and may not even be available when the tix drop. In fact, we only buy from Flash Seats when we buy on the market.

Is it the old gaming system technique. Buy three at launch, sell two overpriced when they're scarce and keep the third for basically free.

I would pay big money to watch zombie Lennon and zombie Harrison play with old man Starr and old man McCartney!

Yup. and I don't blame the STH. They are getting bent over a barrel and the team is going to great lengths to intimidate them from trying to recoup any of their investment during regular season, and postseason, for that matter. I suspect that the starting price for STH this postseason will be what the team expects the public is willing to pay.

Okay thanks for the 8insight, I am basically assuming the Knights make atleast the second round if not the WCF. The Pacific is weak as heck.

Any idea what the prices were for last years playoff games?
Lower bowl ideally but upper is okay too if necessary

It will be more expensive the deeper they get. 1st round I'd say $150 could get you in the upper bowl, $250 lower. Add approximately $50 per round.

I think those numbers for the 1st round are almost spot on. I would think the 2nd round you should add $50-$75 for uppers, $100-$125 for lowers. For the 3rd round another $50 for uppers & $75-$100 for lowers. Then if lightening strikes again & the Knights get the Finals, all bets are off. My uppers in the '18 Finals sold for $1100 each for Game 5. My buddy sold his lower corners for $2250 each for Game 1. Weekend games in the '18 playoffs were way more in demand, so as a buyer, you'd want to try to go during the week.

Before you try to buy tickets, PM me. I have two in the upper bowl. I work nights, so I won't be able to get to every home playoff game. You'll save a bunch of cash rather than paying the bullshit fees on the secondary market sites.

Foley talked yesterday about how they would take care of all the team staff, etc. He also said they would find some way to take care of the STH, "credits or something" were the words I believe I saw.

So I guess if you're renewing, you will probably get credit toward next year's tix. If not, I guess our per game ticket prices for this year just went up 25% (I have partial seasons now). If they won't let us apply credit to AHL ST, I might bow out of ST altogether.

All this is assuming they cancel the remaining RS games, of course.

We actually only had 3 or 4 games at home remaining, I think. They would probably offer some credit to people who don't renew.
