This is huge! Unlike most other players in these scenarios it's not like I wanted him off the team or anything. He's not a bad guy or even a bad player. It's just a matter of him not being worth his contract. That cap space could be put to way better use.

I wish him well in Chicago. He can go from playing with Pettersson on occasion to Bedard.

DON'T SIGN BEAR!!!!!!!!!!

While he could add to the team NOW, his contract will eat up valuable cap space.

Adding him would have the Canucks with a midget size defence and if they have any hope for playoff success size matters

Three defence in the top 4/5 under 6'?
Two with very recent shoulder surgeries?

Save the space and go for Zardorov or one of the younger eastern dmen.

So, so they sign Kessel now?
Why not offer Perry a contract?

Garland for Peeke? Garland for Pecse?

How does this effect the lineup tonight? Aren't the teams required to submit lineups a certain amount of time before game time? Are they able to change it this close to puck drop?

Guy had been free skating in 75% of his games for us so far.

This is a good trade for us. Very good in fact. We've essentially gotten Lafferty for Beauvillier and probably got the better player in the trade. And the cap space we need.

Pretty happy to have moved him without retention or a pick included. It’s been really tough for any team to move cap space.
Allvin is really having a great year. Really impressed with almost every move.
