This is huge! Unlike most other players in these scenarios it's not like I wanted him off the team or anything. He's not a bad guy or even a bad player. It's just a matter of him not being worth his contract. That cap space could be put to way better use.

I wish him well in Chicago. He can go from playing with Pettersson on occasion to Bedard.

2MM, which once he starts playing would effectively be 1.6/1.7MM pro rated. Plenty of room to make more moves above and beyond Bear but there's a roster spot for him now.
