Dumping sizeable salary without retention and getting something back is astounding these days. Feeling as fortunate as we did in the Hamonic trade.

Blackhawks are not in a good place right now - part of the trade is to replace Perry, and a larger part given the timing could be to divert the ick of today's conference.

Good, seems like a good dude but he just skates around and doesn't really bring anything to the table other than some speed/hustle. Puck skills aren't great, not physical, not a PK'er.

I don't think Beau was without value, he's a guy who consistently paces for 20G/20A playing tweener minutes. Just sucks that you sometimes forget he exists because he's streaky and doesn't do much other than try to score with his speed.

This is a contract year and he could be getting good minutes in Chicago, so hope he does well there and grabs the bag in the offseason. Maybe he can bloom a bit more like Duclair did.

On our end, that solves the problem of having to sit PDG who I think is definitely the better player to have on the lineup, while giving us wiggle room to make a move later in the season. Wonder what Allvin is cooking.

They were patient and finally got a favourable deal from unique circumstances happening in CHI (Hall done for year, Perry uhhhh whatever's going on there).

Fantastic cap dump of a very mediocre overpaid player and even got a pick out of it. Hard not to love the move.
