Showing a lot of variety and serving extremely well, Zverev takes the first set 6-2 in 29 minutes. I wasn't expecting that and I don't think Thiem was either.
Sascha gets another early break, 2-1. He looked tentative in the first game, but really went for his shots in the third game for his break.
Zvverev relied almost exclusively on his serve to consolidate the break, but the nerves are beginning to show. It feels like just a matter of time before he cracks. Thiem isn't exactly helping his own cause, though.
