I was at Target the other day and saw a dish towel that said Let's Make (or maybe it was Eat) Pie I looked at it 3 separate visits and finally couldn't stand not having it. My son laughed as soon as he saw it. He knew what it meant! Mmmmmm. PIE!

By the way, Goalie Boy is home from Japan for good. He'll be accompanying me to the games and of course he posts here occasionally. Has a different screen name these days, though. ;-)

I tried to pull the game radio broadcast on an android phone, I googled Predators game radio and get 102.5 and a link to Game Audio, it directs me to Sound Could which I downloaded. Still could not get the game to play. What am I doing wrong?

TuneIn app has NHL games. Worked for me this weekend.

I've used Tune In as mentioned above but I can also get it to play on Sound Cloud. I had to go in and tweak the settings so they would play for more than a couple of minutes before it shuts off (unless I'm sitting there looking at it). I forget how I actually did that, probably just lucked into it. That may be your problem, particularly if it looks like it's working but you just can't hear anything.


Edit: I just checked and I could hear the current talk radio chat. There is a button a bit below the Soundcloud link that goes straight to the feed. Soundcloud had previous talk items on it but not the actual game.

Never tried to listen to the game while in the arena, but heard that the fan who is in the seat next to mine tomorrow is a bit chatty. Thought if I had my earphones in I might avoid that without being rude. When I go to a game by myself I tend to get in my seat for the entirety of the evening. Rarely drink nor eat anything in the arena so once I'm in ... I'm in. Plus this time I'm in the middle of the row so moving is an imposition.

I use the NHL app and click on the headphones symbol to get the radio feed. I have tried listening to the feed but because of radio regs it is behind the actual game play. I found it annoying.

Great! I'll be there with my son--our first game together this season. I'd given him my tix for game 1 since he had a visitor who'd never been to a hockey game. Then my friend and I got seats one in front of the other in the top 2 rows of 314 for a (very) decent price because neither of us wanted to miss the home opener. We're kind of hooked on this hockeyball stuff.

Just put your earphones on and pretend that you're listening, you'll still hear all of the arena sounds but hopefully not be bothered by your neighbor. I know people do that on public transit all the time.

@FossilFndr Let's just plan to meet there after the first period. I'll be in 219 before the game but have to go home from work before I head back to Bridgestone. Also Dancin' in the District may block my path in so I may be even later dealing with that madness.

Sorry, I had left home before you posted this, Adz and her son were in 310 for the game and I met them during first intermission right where you suggested. I bet you were within feet of us, though we only visited for a couple minutes. Adz looks great considering her health scare/ hospitalization a couple months ago. Actually if she did not post here about it I would not have a clue from seeing her.

What a great game for me to attend. It still exhausts me to make the trip, construction on I 40 near Harriman almost made me late even though I left home 45 minutes earlier than usual for some reason. Also very slow between Knoxville and the I 75 I 40 split. I stay @ Cookeville motel because that gives me enough time to wind down after the game. Still a 22 hour home to home 500+ mile drive tires me. Was first trip of that length since I got a new car in June. Got 44.8 mpg in a Camry XLE Hybrid. Smooth ride, for the only time in my life I got a car with all the possible bells and whistles. It's a treat. The lower level Camry LE Hybrid gets even better mileage, but the B&W's are nice.

Yeah, sometimes when I'm trying to get myself situated before a game he will come over and tell me some "rumors". I never know if he's telling the truth or full of crap.

This is board related but not hockey specific so I thought this would be a good place.

Is there a way to completely ignore one of the prefixes? NPPG threads annoy me, especially since I have no interest in them so I ignore each one individually but I'd love to ignore the prefix and not have to mess with it.
