I'm more concerned that Doan is 40, and is no more than a 4th line winger at this point. I'd find better options to pursue.

There hasn't been any trades. Only rumors. Staple even posted this tweet when talking about Isles potential trade:

This isn't confirmed in the slightest. Even Staple has no clue what the hell is going on.

Oh well there are rumours for several teams that have deals in place... I think the point is that the NHL didn't want any actual names or assets or any official announcements until they do the big reveal.

It really depends on what you want them for. Defensive ability or offensive ability.

if Chia would think Draisaitl would get an offer sheet or that Draisaitl would sign one, he would get a deal done before July 1.

There is nothing to worry about, Draisaitl will likely sign around 6.5-7m for 5-6 years.

If I was Edmonton, I'd take Barrie and try to trade with Vegas for Manson, De Haan or someone else. Even if it's just Barrie, that's a win. I think we need Barrie as he would be our upgrade on Russell and can get us more points 5 on 5. Could you imagine how many more points he'd get feeding McDavid up the puck? I mean McDavid's primary points are 5 on 5 with his blazing speed.
