What would it cost us to get Panarin only if he was to sign with us.....hes going to get 8-9million. He is exactly what we need.

There are rumors out there that he doesn't want to play in Canada

Personally Duchene or Stone would be just as great here if they hit UFA
We have the cash and cap space

I wouldn't mind seeing MB trade Drouin or Petry. They seem to be the most mistake-prone among the top 9 forwards / 4 defense. They also happen to be the only minus players among those who play significant minutes.

This team isn't good enough to overcome mistakes.

I don't see MB moving either, however.

How about Alzner, Lehkonen and Lindgren for Ryan Suter and Jordan Greenway? Minnesota is desperately trying to unload Suter's contract and will need to include something extra to make it happen, hence Greenway's inclusion. He's a 6'6" beast LW that i strongly feel is ready to explode with a change of scenery. I get the Suter contract is a disaster, but we will more than be able to swallow it. Plus, he is surprisingly still productive.

Hoping for the Flyers to lose their next 3 before tdl, tampa, pittsburgh, montreal, to put them out of the race. They have now Myers up on the right side, and with already Provorov and Sanheim as left handed offensive dmen, and Morin who's getting back to shape and in the plans, maybe there will be a slight chance for the Habs to trade for Ghost.
Gostisbehere is exactly what the team needs, a left handed mobile top4 that can quaterback the PP. Key piece.

If it doesn't work, I won't be surprised if Habs add a guy like Del Zotto from the Ducks to finsh the season. Not my favourite but I think he would look good with Habs style of play, better than Reilly right now, good PP guy, and won't cost a lot.

I think that the Habs receive the best two players and give up nothing. Wild still need to take on Alzner's contract and Lindgren has no value.

I have this dream of trading Weber for Nylander and Zaitsev (to balance salary cap); or, something along those lines. Nylander is stuck behind a talented forward corp, Babcock is being old school. You go with Kotkaniemi and Nylander as 1A and 1B, Domi on the wing where he's even more effective. This instantly makes the team better, at the very least more talented. "Sois clairevoyant", Bergevin!

Nylander was their best forward togetjer with Kadri against the Avs and he is albeit slowly hitting his form.

I dream of Alexandra Daddario but you know, to each his own :sarcasm:

Friedman in today's 31 thoughts is talking about a stealth suitor might emerge for Duchene and wrote the Following

2. Barring a massive swerve, Matt Duchene will be traded. There are undoubtedly more suitors than Columbus and Nashville, but they are the two most mentioned. I’m not convinced Winnipeg is interested at this time, and if I had to pick a stealth destination, I’d choose either Calgary or the Islanders. (If GM Marc Bergevin wasn’t on record as being against rentals, Montreal would be on that list, too.)

Find out weird that he put Montreal in there (I know Bergevin said something about not going for rentals....but if he knew that Duchene could be signing here, after all, Duchene's agent is a good friend of Bergevin)

If Duchene wants to come, talk to him in the off season instead of moving high end picks and prospects.

Just talking here.....but if getting a 8 year deal has to be made in order to secure everything?
Anyway, i don't think Bergevin will go after him but i still find it weird that Friedman still had to mention Montreal in there somehow even if Bergevin said otherwise. He didn't had to include Montreal in that list.

Tavares' agent was a good friend also.

I would give up assets if the deal came with an extension. It's hard to outbid everyone in free agency. Duchene has some question marks. But his game is made for the new NHL and he wants to win.

Won't happen, but I would love to see what Luke Richardson could do with Nathan Beaulieu.

The house is an investment. There was another tweet about how he bought one along with another player and they intend on doing AirBnB with it.

do you really believe it ? he is a NAshville boy and always said he wanted to live there,

it's the country music capital.
