Rnh has the better contract and the youth. The only 2 advantages.

Points wise RNH wins, but just a few years older and Forsure Galchenyuk will have a prime time in his 26-30

Forward primes are way before 30.

This seemed like the perfect hockey trade for both clubs.

Is it different factors that explain this trade not happening or having more traction or is it fear that regardless of what happens, Max Pac is bound to score more with McDavid and because of that whoever we get will not produce as much as Max and so it will be considered another lost trade?

Or is it that Hans management really have no interest in RNH?

It's a trade that can work with a little adjustment but maybe Edmonton doesn't want to pay premium or habs aren't running after RNH.

It should be pretty obvious in 2018 that Bergevin does not have any fear in losing a trade. Been there, done that.

Lol are you serious? Yakupov looked good with Mcdavid too.

Pretty sure Eberle didnt look good playing with McDavid. Chances are players will look good playing with a superstar like McDavid, but its not always the case.

Pacioretty looked awful playing with Drouin. He also was terrible when he played with Patrick Kane and Pavelski in the world cup.

Considering RNH's contract status, age and how well he played with McDavid, it makes zero sense for the oilers to give him up to acquire Patch.

RNH is exactly what this team needs. A centre that isn’t Philip Danault.

RNH is soft, and a floater. If you think Max's game is a problem when the chips are down, you'll just be thrilled with RNH. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep him on the wing in Edmonton, he may be a better winger than a C if he can stay on that top line.

I'm not thrilled with Max at all, I think they can do better than RNH. Wait, let me rephrase.. I think a good GM could do better return.

I could see Pac going to the Hawks, would assume it comes down to Pac agreeing to a fair contract (not 8 * 8) and MB lowering his demands. Really hope we get a 1st so I'm expecting we don't.

Only way I think Patches goes to Buf is if Pegula opens his wallet BIG TIME. Otherwise why would anyone want to live in Buffalo for 8 years!?

Zacha + 1st from NJ and I'd do it. Allow us to move Drouin to wing. We will suck anyway, but Zacha is young and still developping. He won't become a 1st line centre and we'd go next season with that:

Drouin - Danault - Gallagher
Domi - Zacha - Lehkonen
Hudon - Plekanec - Scherbak
De La Rose - Peca - Armia

Byron/Shaw on the IR then one of them get traded, the other one take DLR spot.

Could I just pint out that if Zacha was already a Habs prospect, he’d be considered a complete bust.

id realy rather Michael Mcleod to be honest, always liked his game, he's also a RH center wich we don't have... he still hasn't cracked the NHL roster, so devils might rather keep zacha...

Mcleod + 1st 19 top10 protected!
