Never trust how players look on Edmonton.

Ie Dubyk went from borderline bust to starting goalie once traded to the Wild.

Schultz on a good team may finally find his game.

He had a decent first season offensively, as did Yakupov... Than Eakins came in and seemingly destroyed the potential in more than a few of the oilers players. Incredible considering, he was heavily praised while coaching the Marlies for his ability to connect and develop the Marlies young players.

A lot of these kind of players like Yakupov and Schultz grow up playing a solely offensive game, but once a coach makes them change their game they have no idea how to adapt. The really good players can do it, but if you can only play a one-dimensional game you don't last very long in the NHL.

Yeah but it takes times for a teenager to change, to grow up (see Kane, seguin) and it takes a special coach to be able to know how much to push a player.... Eakins pushed way to hard and fast. Tried to monitor his sweets intake and everything.

Leafs say Parenteau done for game due to "upper-body injury"... Told not serious, he's out to prevent further injury, which begs question...

Guys it's 4th period - but he is quoting "Leafs"

im assuming PA already has multiple offers on the table, and/or an understanding of 'if we dont get (vrbata) we'll give you a call'

which is why it is basically a certainty he will be traded and the team definitely wants to be extremely careful of injury

So @ScottOake says Parenteau has muscle cramps.

It's still good?

Yeah he's fine. Thought it was just for precaution. It may just be muscle cramps, but you don't want to put him out there and make it something worse. He'll be back for his next game though, without a doubt.

HNIC report said upper body injury, which would be in line with the hit he took in Carolina.

Byron Froese likely broke his hand there. He's a goner.

Feel sorry for him
