The Wild are, will be for a long time, be a team that needs to be built on 3 good centers, ala the Bruins, and not one built by a franchise center, ala the Hawks, Kings, and Pens.

Koivu and Granlund are 2/3. Need the 3rd. Maybe that's Coyle, but then we really do need a 1st line RW sniper.

Exactly we came close to potential #1's in Seguin and RyJo but we came up short and those situations are to rare to hope for another one like that soon.

we will always be too competitive to ever get a chance to draft a Franchise center unless we get lucky and find a diamond in the rough for our top picks.

You can win and be a great team with 3 solid and talented centers who may not be considered clear super star talent #1's but as a collective make you just as talented as a team with Seguin/Grioux/Crosby etc...

Brodin is the only guy I can see Spooner available for. Boston doesn't need another offensive specialist dman. From a perspective of a Bruins fan I would never entertain Dumba for Spooner.

All im trying to say is if we are trading Brodin/Dumba we need to get back a talent level like Drouin who could be our Dynamic #1 RW we need, or another young talented cost-controlled Center like Spooner/Galchenkyuk who can push players into their natural positions and roles, and bring an offensive impact right now.

If not, then hold onto what we got and hope for the best.

CORRECT!!!!!

Since RNH is hurt... i say one of those 2 or forget it. I do not want to see Staal-like players in a Wild sweater(as some have mentioned) , even if it is just a rental

If the Wild want RNH they can still move on him at the trade deadline 6 weeks away

Concussions aside, Skinner comes with a $5.725m cap hit. Not sure how we'd fit him under the cap unless Ron Francis has a man-crush on Jason Pominville.

Just reading the main boards on Bogosian. Seems he's not doing great with Buffalo. He's an interesting RHD on a huge contract. Buffalo is looking for young LHD.

Olofsson+Pominville for Bogosian+Gionta maybe? Buyout Gionta this off-season. Having Bogosian would free up both Dumba and Brodin for trades for high-end forwards.

Bogo-Risto pairing looks great and both are physical players, doubt they'll give up on him.

This is exactly what i'm thinking. Hes a beneficiary of many factors listed above ... especially Bostons #1 PP system.

13 of his 33 points have come from the PP

He's the main man on the pp, and reason why we have the best pp in the league.

And Koivu is Minnesotas Bergeron, and his most common linemates are Beleskey-Vatrano-Hayes-Connolly which the last 2 have had huge slumps during the season and Vatrano is a rookie.
19 of his 23 assists are primary assist.

Probably with Dumba then? That seems like a bad deal if we're just getting Drouin back.

Nino and Dumba is insane. The only thing Drouin has going for him is his #3 draft status, and believe me, good GM's are WAY less impressed with that than HFBoarders are.

Everyone talks about Drouin's potential ceiling, but what about his potential floor? It could be pretty damn low. Like a lot lower than Yak, who, for all his faults, has been playing in the NHL regularly for four years.

Skinner is also another left wing...

People are talking about Drouin, who for all intense purposes is listed as playing LW as well. The difference is injury prone for Skinner and his caphit.

Team needs a #1C, period. I would be curious if Russo will ever figure out what was actually offered by Fletcher to CBJ that they didn't take.

It's been noted several times that Drouin is comfortable playing any forward position. Can the same be said about Skinner?
