On the video there is 3 vertical dots click on them and click “do not recommend posts from this channel”

This is the best feature on YT. You can block out the recommendations for that utter crap from main networks like those horrendous talk shows which are mostly interviews with dull actors with nothing interesting to say. That type of content is literally the opposite of what made YT great. The recommendation algorithm kept bringing up Steve Dangle, truly awful content made in the style of 1990's YTV programming, it's gone now. I'm still fighting off the soccer videos after watching a couple soccer goal highlight vids.

Much appreciated thank you.

As some may have seen, Dave Randorf is now the play by play guy for the Bolts. He was one one of the crew that would call games on sportsnet. Wonder if there are any changes to the crew. There was a report that major changes were happening on RDS and TSN.

Noodles and Odog are such idiots sometimes. During the confirm or deny segment there were two questions where they gave completely nonsensical answers. When the question was will quinn hughes be the best dman in the Canadian division Noodles brought up Tyson Barrie getting a lot of pp points this year and jumped on his annoying soap box about how people only look at stats with dmen and compared him to Brent Burns and EK. Burns and EK were legit #1 dmen who played big minutes against the other teams top players. When Barrie put up 60 points in Colorado people viewed him for what he was a pp specialist. It was an incredibly stupid point for someone to make who covered hockey for a living.

When the question was will Marner lead the wingers in points in the Canadian division Odog says no and acts like it's not even a good question and that there are multiple people ahead of Marner and thinks Hayes is a Marner fanboy for saying yes. Anyone who pays attention to stats should realize that Marner is clearly the favourite to lead the wingers in points. Odog brought up Brady Tkachuk as one of his good candidates to get more points than Marner, even though Brady has a career high of 77 and last year was on pace for around 70. Him and Noodles also brought up Wheeler who was on pace for 70 last year and is 34. And Odog thinks he should be taken seriously if he ever applies for a an assistant GM job.

Last season Marner was on pace for 93 points after missing 11 games because of a high ankle sprain, never mind that in the 2018-19 Season Marner had 94 points in 82 games played. Do they not realize something like that when they choose Wheeler over Marner?

He was at Sportsnet right? So Cuthbert went from TSN to Sportsnet. I assume TSN needs someone new, unless Bowen is coming back to do Leafs regional games or Beyak gets more than just Winnipeg games.

I never thought of Bowen replacing Cuthbert for Leafs regional games on TSN and hope that happens.

However I believe Bowen wanted to broadcast all Leafs regional TV games and that includes Sportsnet and they hired John Bartett for that job.

I haven't listened to or watched Overdrive in a while, but wow is Odog Uber sensitive. You would think being a former hockey player that he would have tougher skin, but he's a child.

Maybe it's just me, but Toronto sports radio shows haven't been good for awhile. Could be that I'm so used to the podcasts that I listen to, I have different expectations now, not sure.

Sportsnet isn't actually gonna use these Broadcasters for the Season are they? Cheryl Pounder is brutal.

odog is incredibly thin skinned for someone who loves to dish out insults and silly nicknames or bits for example with Siegel loves calling him nerd etc but when Siegel or mirtle give it back he gets all defensive and and all huffy. Odog is a huge man baby

It's actually quite pathetic, and he gets paid to criticize players for being soft or not working hard enough when he was one of the laziest, softest players around.

Agreed.
Long story short, I hadn't listened to or watched Overdrive in over a year, and last week Jason Strudwick was on and I was channel surfing, so decided I would see what was going on. O asked Strudwick what's happened to Turris, Strudwick then joked about how Turris didn't go to the corners and dirty areas anymore, similar to O'Neill during his playing days, and O'Neill just got so upset, and looked so offended. After Strudwick's answer, O didn't say anything for the rest of the segment, even when Hayes and Noodles tried to engage him. Strudwick ribbed him again at the end, and O was just like like "enough get him out of here" or something along those lines.

It was sad to watch, it was a little playful joke, and again being a former NHL'er you would think it shouldn't bother O at all, especially being retired for so long. Heck, my old hockey buddies and I still rib each other whenever we see each other (haven't played together in over 15 years), and it's all good fun remembering the good ole days.

I always lived by if you can dish it out you better react properly when it gets dished back at you. I enjoy some banter my mates and am quite aware it will come back at me when the opportunity arises.

the guy who reacts poorly quickly gets left out of future banter/jokes but they just enable odog to be so thin skinned

They're completely clueless on anyone other than the Leafs and overrate other players to try and seem knowledgable, usually with vague statements like "he's a hell of a player"...they have some annoying tendencies and aren't great analysts but honestly who is? Kevin Bieksa and Ray Ferraro that's probably my whole list.

That said they're still pretty damn entertaining. Anyone who listens to sports shows for good insight is fooling themselves.

My biggest qualm is when they have arguments against imaginary people...like after the WJC Hayes wanted to throw down with anyone who thought hockey Canada needed to rebuild their program which was not an opinion anyone has, they do that often.

Just popping in to say Overdrive should replace Noodles with absolutely anyone else.

Why? The chemistry on Overdrive makes it the only good hockey show on the planet and with a couple exceptions most hockey talk people are absolute disasters, at least the overdrive dynamic is fun. Noodles isn't the most knowledgeable (and he's completely lost after hockey) but give me him over a self-righteous blowhard like Craig Button any day of the week. Not that Noodles isn't like that sometimes but he's nowhere near as bad.
