why not try dermott in the top 4? i get he is a LHD, but this is the season to see what you have in him especially knowing the situation for next year.

Barrie is getting demoted to play almost the softest QoC in the league down with Dermott to see if it will turn around his game.
Muzzin/Ceci will be our defacto first pairing and play the tough minutes against while Rielly will get a break from hard matchups with Holl who has shown the ability to play second pairing QoC.
Pretty much makes sense.
Kind of feels like when Gards and Dermott went down with injury last year only Barrie is playing worse than bad back Gards and busted shoulder Dermott combined.
Dermott may be the perfect guy to help Barrie right now. Solid two way game this year against weaker comp. Will be interesting to see how Barrie performs compared to Holl with Dermott.

Do you know who coaches this team? Mike fricking Babcock. If a player is left handed there is no way he could play the right side. Babcock knows hockey, the leafs will play Babcock hockey and all will be well

I hope Dubas doesn’’t cut the cord on Babs immediately. A lot of this falls on players not playing to their abilities, showing zero heart, and basically skating around to collect a paycheque. It’s embarrassing for them the most.
Dubas needs to send the message, loud and clear, that the inmates don’t run the asylum. These guys haven’t earned ****. They need to start playing with some pride, and to a level near their salaries. Firing the coach, when a team is playing the way our’s is, doesn’t solve your problem. At some point, you have to hold the guys on the ice accountable.

We might actually win this one. Vegas is one of the few teams who ices the puck more than us and punishes icings less (they don't score, force you to take a penalty, force you to ice the puck again). Expect a game with no consistent pace, a ton of whistles, and two underperforming teams trading rush chances to try to get their confidence back.
Hoping for a win - if we want to make the playoffs we need to get much better quickly.
If we lose though, I’d prefer a blowout loss. IMO Babcock’s time is done, the more blowout losses the faster we get a new coach.

Mike Babcock has evolved. He is now equal to the rock. Referring to himself in third person will get us out in game 7 against the Bruins again
