Hamilton
Engvall and Brooks looking the best to me so far, and if the guys on this squad are competing for the #7 D spot I'd say Rosen is winning it

Sparks should be the backup. Both have been trash but I'd rather back the young goalie over the old goalie no one will pick up on waivers.

Sparks should be the backup and not because of the preseason. he was the best goalie in the AHL as a 24 year old, and it's stupid to waive an asset like that. give him a chance to show us what he can do in the NHL

Pickard preseason sv%: .950

So if this was a real 3 way competition then I guess we know who've won it, and which 2 goalies have blew it? Not just Sparks anymore.

Pickard would be my choice. He's proven at the NHL that he can succeed and his playstyle is a lot better than w/e Sparks is doing out there.

if Sparks can be better than Pickard in the same league in front of the same team in the AHL, why can't he do that in the NHL?

I see McElhinney has allowed all four goals against mostly an AHL squad. Does that mean he’s lost the backup job like so many proclaimed Sparks did against Montreal?
