Van Halen as a band, and Eddie in particular really epitomized that sense of fun coolness that was pure 80's.

Well, specifically 1980s Los Angeles...

I'm thinking of finding all of those pics with the cigarette hanging out of the top nut of his guitar and just circling the cigarettes.

Cancer sucks.

Any cable cutters on here that can recommend any streaming services that get Devils games? It seems like only Fubo has MSG and I hear that service is garbage.

Edit: cable is an extra $140 for my provider so f*** that lol

French macarons are temperamental little buggers, but really satisfying to make. I haven't been able to really make a chef grade one yet, but I'm getting closer.

My wife is a big time baker and I applaud you for what you've done there. I know they are very technical and easy to screw up. The consistency and shape looks good and you piped the filing nicely.

I appreciate that. I think I like making them because they are a challenge. There is a lot of science and experimentation to get them just right. Really, the biggest challenge is my garbage electric oven that cycles between 290 and 370 degrees when I set it to 325... I'm getting it figured out though. Just takes a lot of watching and a well placed pizza stone. If I had a convection oven things would be much easier.

maintaining a steady temp is crucial for macs, so even more impressive that they look the way they do. what flavors do you like to make? my favorite my wife does is pistachio. i'm a pistachio fiend, which is a very expensive problem to have

Quick medical question!

I have an irritated/infected hangnail and am deciding if its worth paying a co-pay and price for antibiotics

I get them a lot because I used to not know what caused them. However this time around (not that Ive ever paid close attention to them) about 4-5 days in ive noticed the redness dropping below my fingernail (not under it) and the tip has cleared up.

Im guessing its just the blood leaving my fingertip as the pain has reduced but its still sensitive. Oddly enough though, if i point my finger down to the ground and swing my arm I get a pressure/tingling sensation where the swelling is. Is this normal after infections/irritations where blood collected or sign of a deeper infection?

I love orange creamsicle. Also, I recently made a s'more one with chocolate ganache and homemade marshmallow fluff. I took a torch to the fluff for that charred marshmallow flavor. It was pretty good. Also salted caramel is another favorite.

I have absolutely have no interest in macaroons...I don't like them at all. I find them chalky every time I have had one...but the areas of interest you cross are super spectacular......you are an interesting dude. I really like your style.

A few guys on the local radio down here saw it last night and they were raving at how funny it was from beginning to end.

Hiw can anyone not realize who he is at this point? How hard must it have been to try the set up and find out the target just wanted a photo or autograph. The hit ratio must have been very low. I imagine after the first one they had a much bigger budget which they probably needed to throw away a bunch of wasted film and time.

If the new one is at all close to the first one it will be really funny if totally inappropriate for today’s world.

The trailer actually touches on your point. It shows fans recognizing him on the street and him running away and going to a Halloween store saying that he needs a disguise in America. He at that point even finds a Borat costume where the owner tells him it looks like him. It’s silly humor but if done right, will crack me up.

i think the trick is the targets have to be extraordinarily dumb to get fooled at this point, and there’s no shortage of idiots in this country

After an early test screening a writer for the Simpsons said it was as if someone had played him Sgt. Pepper for the first time and I recall someone saying that Larry David’s reaction was that everything they as comics had done up to that point was now irrelevant.
