Van Halen as a band, and Eddie in particular really epitomized that sense of fun coolness that was pure 80's.
French macarons are temperamental little buggers, but really satisfying to make. I haven't been able to really make a chef grade one yet, but I'm getting closer.
Once again... theunseenhand, showing his hand... tsk tsk. Get ahold of yourself man!
btw... keep up the good work. They look delicious.

is that pistachio in there?
My wife is a big time baker and I applaud you for what you've done there. I know they are very technical and easy to screw up. The consistency and shape looks good and you piped the filing nicely.
I appreciate that. I think I like making them because they are a challenge. There is a lot of science and experimentation to get them just right. Really, the biggest challenge is my garbage electric oven that cycles between 290 and 370 degrees when I set it to 325... I'm getting it figured out though. Just takes a lot of watching and a well placed pizza stone. If I had a convection oven things would be much easier.

i’m getting pretty pumped for borat 2
maintaining a steady temp is crucial for macs, so even more impressive that they look the way they do. what flavors do you like to make? my favorite my wife does is pistachio. i'm a pistachio fiend, which is a very expensive problem to have
She also does Espresso which is a close second
I have absolutely have no interest in macaroons...I don't like them at all. I find them chalky every time I have had one...but the areas of interest you cross are super spectacular......you are an interesting dude. I really like your style.French macarons are temperamental little buggers, but really satisfying to make. I haven't been able to really make a chef grade one yet, but I'm getting closer.
A few guys on the local radio down here saw it last night and they were raving at how funny it was from beginning to end.
Hiw can anyone not realize who he is at this point? How hard must it have been to try the set up and find out the target just wanted a photo or autograph. The hit ratio must have been very low. I imagine after the first one they had a much bigger budget which they probably needed to throw away a bunch of wasted film and time.
If the new one is at all close to the first one it will be really funny if totally inappropriate for today’s world.

The trailer actually touches on your point. It shows fans recognizing him on the street and him running away and going to a Halloween store saying that he needs a disguise in America. He at that point even finds a Borat costume where the owner tells him it looks like him. It’s silly humor but if done right, will crack me up.
