says the combative person who started with, "And I think you value your opinion more than you should, on many things."
The more I see of the rumors of who's in on him, where he's rumored to go, the more convinced I am that we're going to deal Jones as a one year rental.
If I understand @LoneFunyan correctly, they're saying that the Jackets are going to trade Jones away this offseason without an extension in place.Nah, I think the team learned from Panarin/Bob that you can't go through too many seasons like that. Plus, this team isn't remotely set up for success, even if Jones were to stick around. Get a couple high picks and a prospect for him if you can.

Do you believe his rate of shutouts will continue moving forward??
What would his numbers (that are NOT good) look like with a more sustainable amount of SO’s at this point in his career??
How much of an impact does a full team have on a goalie getting a shutout??
The team hates korpi and intentionally plays worse in front of him, can't trust the stats
Which goalie plays against tougher matchups/competition??
No possible way it’s 50/50 EVEN, right??
All the mathematician’s here and “advanced stats”, if it’s 51/49, that’s still not even.
So my question to many, which goalie plays against tougher competition??
I have no idea. Do you know? Genuine question. Since you seem to just be assuming it’s Korpi. Does anyone actually know? And if it’s close, even if it’s slightly ahead for korpi, doesn’t the massive statistical difference between the two kinda signal Elvis is better?

Elvis is…I've noticed, though, the team feeds off him and he can give them a jolt. I think they play with more passion with him in net.
Elvis is twitchy

Joonas played 25 of 33 games against playoff teams, 75.8%
Elvis played 22 of 28 games against playoff team, 78.6%
Who said they are struggling ? Interviews JD has given since he was brought back are glowing regarding Elvis . Are we looking at a few writers throw junk out there , and then every other site regurgitates the same junk ? There is no gm out there that would think Korpi is the better goalie , hence why trade rumors focus on Elvis . After all it’s Columbus , and we are rumored to be trading a goalie , so clearly we will stick with the middle of the road back up , because that’s how Columbus operates .If were struggling this much with choice A or B, the answer must be C. None of the above.
"Unsustainable"?
The problem, again, you have "feel" and "what you see" and no actual facts to back up your assumptions...and refuse to accept thatThat’s the joke, but, I do think it’s clear that there is a disparity between his rate of shutouts and the quality of goaltender Merzlikins is.
And that the large amount of shutouts have too big of a statistical impact to focus on such “stats”.
Elvis has played 60 f***ing NHL games.
