Dont understand how Sosa is getting votes let alone 21.6% of votes

Unlike Clemens and Bonds who were HOF talents before PED's ,, He was an average OF before PED's

His entire career was built off of PED's

Slammin Sammy was the product of PED’s, before he took them he was just an average to good player. On the juice he became 60 HR/100 rbi guy out of nowhere.

I don't know when he started juicing, but from '93 - '97, he averaged 40 HR and 117 RBI per 162 games

I wouldn't say he became a 60 HR/100 RBI guy "out of nowhere"

Brady Anderson's 50 HR season on the other hand...

This is going to be a year where no one gets in. The only one close is Schilling and some won't vote for him because of his twitter, which will keep him out, like their aren't already worse people in the HoF. Hopefully Bonds and Clemens get in next year, because I doubt any of the dinosaurs on the veterans committee will put them in. They aren't Harold Baines after all.

Next year is going to be interesting when A-Rod and Ortiz join the ballot. Ortiz will get in within 3 years, while A-Rod will sit and wait like Bonds/Clemens.

Scott Rolen and Todd Helton seem to be on the Tim Raines/Edgar Martinez trajectory and should get in eventually.

Bob Nightengale voted for LaTroy Hawkins, lol

Doubled checked the spread sheet and he's just over based on the public votes.

Ken Davidoff had an interesting point about those who wanted to change their ballots (He voted for Schilling)

If it’s possible to put his myriad post-retirement controversies aside, there shouldn’t be any controversy over his on-field greatness. By the way, if you saw the report that “numerous” Hall voters tried to change their Schilling vote to a No after the Capitol riot, it was actually just one, and the Hall correctly didn’t switch it.

I read his article and his reasoning was something along the lines that he is a nice guy and is black. Said he would have voted for Hal McRae way back when for similar reasons if he had a vote back then.

Latroy Hawkins did not have a good career to even earn HOF mention. I don’t know, the BBWAA is full of the old boys club.

Lol get ****ed Schilling.

Bonds will get in eventually. People forget he was an absolute stud of a player before the juicing.

Can't wait for the eventual hipocracy of when Ortiz gets in on his first ballot while Bonds and Clemens still have to sit out

Have to imagine both Rolen and Wagner get in sooner rather than later given their numbers are heading in the right direction

Garbage that Bonds and Clemons didn’t make it, now we are getting the sympathy votes for next year for both guys...like they did with Edgar Martinez.

The voters ignore Berry Bonds before the 2001 season, damn shame.
