Reid Boucher evens it at two with a steal and patented wrist shot....and just like that it's 3-2 Syracuse.
In his defense, he hasn’t made much money in his career to date. Current deal which isn’t even a year old, is his first big money deal. Hopefully he won’t make a decision based on the need for that payday but the more important thing- his long term health.I think his career is done but he won’t officially retire until his contract is finished.

Kole Lind started getting PK time late in the game yesterday, too which is a very intriguing development
Pretty much every guy who starts getting looks on the PK, is a guy the Canucks have interest in calling up for a cup of coffee. Bailey, Baertschi, Goldobin all got call-ups after starting getting rotated into the PK group. Maybe verdict from on-high is to see what they've got in Lind as a PK'er at the very least for a future look on the Canucks fourth-line?
Yep, I'm beginning to like the way the Canucks-Comets are rounding out the games of their top AHL prospects. MacEwen and Bailey were killing penalties before their recall, and even Goldy has taken a turn. Jasek as been all over the lineup. And Rafferty's game seems to evolving as well.Kole Lind started getting PK time late in the game yesterday, too which is a very intriguing development

Versatility is the key to a player contributing in the NHL....if they can slide up and down the roster, kill penalties and even play fourth line minutes, they're dramatically increasingly their likelihood of a productive NHL career.
No, but it’s not likely he had more than 1 of that 9.5 in the bank after taxes, agents, and living that lifestyle. It’s a lot for us but it’s not likely he has any worthwhile earning capabilities in any field outside of hockey. Add in the fact that there’s a greater than 0% chance of having lifelong ailments anyways due to his career choice and history. This contract was the deal that set his family for life and probably a generation more.$9.5 M in five years isn’t chump change.
Anyone know why juolevi isn't playing today? Injury or possibly traded?
Trending down quickly.Comets need to get a goalie hot.....and in a hurry.....

Di Pietro's save percentage and GAA numbers don't look good, but the shot totals don't reflect how practicall 70% are high-danger scoring chances from high-percentage scoring positions/
Defense has been absolutely horrific in 2020. Team is no longer outscoring their problems away. Team is content to make those hail mary tallies that make the game interesting late if they can't blow things open in the opening period.
Comets are 17-5-1 -1 when they score first
When they give up the first goal they are 11-15-2-1
they're woefully mediocre at coming back from deficits
Across all situations, the Comets have out-attempted opponents with shots only 19 times out of 53 games played.
Everyone here knows they're a young team, but for a coach who's background is defence, and being an AHL defender, you'd think there'd be some kind of systems developed that doesn't involve standing still and waving your stick at your opponents and hope they miss the net.
