Can we play here until Belmont is done?I can tell you the headlines. It's 12 meters long 7 meters wide rink that I built in my backyard. I posted this picture on Instragram and the next day they called me from the newspaper. Backyard rinks are not that common here in Hamar, Norway, so the reporter wanted to know why I build hockeyrink, my passion for the sport and why I support Islanders. You should have seen the look on his face when I told til I watch all 82 games every season! Priceless!View attachment 276475

It's my friends car. He playes for Storhamar, you can see the logo on side if you zoom in and yes it's a SUV, but not a HondaIs that a car I see behind the rink? I think the Isles would feel right at home there.
Fantastic. Here in Minnesota it is very common. There’s a friendly competition among many dads about who has the best backyard rink. Yours would be in contention for one of the best. Nice! Mine is 12.2m x 7.9m, no red or blue lines though, and only a 2000w work light for night time festivities. Not cold enough here yet for ice though.I can tell you the headlines. That is hilarious man. Thanks.I did a similar thing for my kids for soccer. We have grass in the backyard and they can play soccer on it.

They can still force him to tear it down. But how many lawsuits did you have to win to build it?

What did you use under the ice at the deep end?

We had really cold weather, but now the Snow is gone and it's raining. Not good for the rink. The kids love the rink and my 6 year old told me in the car going to school today, that he wants to play for the Islanders when he comes to the NHL. I was moved. A father can dream5 degrees here...
I haven't been here in a while. I can't believe Steve55 is trying to find ways this won't work.
