New Jersey
(pacmanghost x) sad again
if, and that's a very significant if, we win tomorrow, game the f*** on.
Just as well, people still wouldn’t have gotten out of the bathroom, food or drink lines on time if the intermission was 25 minutes long anyway, it was that bad
But yeah last night’s game took three hours on a weeknight with a 7:30 start, not ideal
I don't think I can state enough how much I want John Moore off this team.
if we do that, idc if we get knocked out, because that means we pushed em to 6 games, and to me, that earns us respect.Game 4 is going to be pivotal, but you didn't need me to tell you that.
Imagine if we can somehow pull out a win, tie up the series, take even more wind out of Tampa's sails, and head back down to their barn with a "look at me now" attitude.
Club No Moore. Where can I join?
I've only gone to playoff games at the Rock, so I can't compare to others, but the atmosphere last night was just absurd. Rarely was quiet. It felt like the Rock was shaking. I think Noesen's goal was when my voice was gone. What a shot. If we can tie it up at home tomorrow, the Rock will erupt.I was at every game during the 2012 playoff run, and I don't think it got this loud until at least game 3/4 against the Rangers. Even then, this game rivaled it. Absolutely deafening. Very underrated atmosphere. It's too bad that there's a general stereotype that "the Devilz has no fanz" because we definitely have one of the loudest playoff arenas in the entire league. I've personally been to playoff games in places like the Garden and Washington, and the atmosphere at the Rock last night blew both of those out of the water.
And did absolutely nothing with it.
Meanwhile, the penalty kill is being torn to shreds while the Devils two best penalty killers are healthy scratches up in a luxury box.
Sit Maroon? Did you watch the game.
I was so engrossed in the game, I wasn't watching the time. But after the final horn I looked down and was like "How is it 10:30 right now?!"
I know he's been praised but it can't be understated how big of a game Schneider had last night. Kept us in it when we needed it most. And he really did look like his former self, just strong positionally and made things look simple. If he can keep that up we have a chance.
props to Butcher for playing like a well seasoned vet
Credit to the guys for cleaning up second efforts better than usual. Butcher's skate stop and Travis's relentless work on a couple slot protects are obvious examples.I know he's been praised but it can't be understated how big of a game Schneider had last night. I also loathe that new find the coin with the logo type game instead of the puck shuffle. I have very good hand-eye and I can never keep track of where the coin goes when they go all on top of each other. Last night I really thought I got the right one finally, me, most of the crowd and the poor lady who was going to win a signed Cory signed jersey all guessed two. All were wrong.
I love that our little row of bars across from the Den is becoming the gathering place for that element of our fan base before games. Might be because I'm not far removed from being a drunken, rowdy college student myself, but I love that ****. As long as there's no physical violence, chanting "*******" at and booing the **** out of opposing fans who walk through there is all in good fun. If opposing fans don't like it or think it's classless, enter through the Lafayette tower or just don't get tickets.
Prudential Center is an inhospitable place to outsiders during the playoffs and it makes me happy.
