Not sure what the point is ? Hitchcock was really fat, then he lost weight and was just chubby - fat. His suits should have dropped sizes when his weight did. I honestly (not being facetious) don’t get your point ? Are you implying that we aren’t allowed to notice people’s weight? Lol. That’s ridiculous. I didn’t call him a “pig” or “disgusting” but I’m NEVER going to be a little boomer and pretend I don’t see the difference between a fat person and thin person. Just crazy.
Reminds me of Seinfeld when Elaine whispers about his cleaning lady and Jerry yells “she knows she’s a cleaning lady”. A joke ahead of its time. If I see a Mexican , Italian , German painter and am describing him / her you can bet I’m going to say “Mexican / Italian / German”.
If I see a Toothless guy / girl that sold me a shirt and my friend asks who sold it to me, 100% I’m going to say “the toothless guy : girl over there”.
do you get it now?
You posted what you did because you thought it was a funny/witty observation that 'LOL Hitchcock is now just regular fat instead of super fat so his clothes fit funny!' And I'm pretty sure it's something Hitchcock wouldn't have enjoyed reading.
It's absolutely no different than Leipsic saying 'LOL Pearson's wife got fat!'.
There literally isn't a person on this board or anywhere who hasn't had a conversation with a friend to the effect of 'Wow, (person we know) really has put on a ton of weight!' And for all these people to be whining about Leipsic being a fat-shamer is incredibly hypocritical. And again, this board is filled with people mocking Tkachuk or Wellwood or whoever for being fat.
Like, Leipsic is a dick. If I was Washington's GM, I'd be terminating his contract too on the grounds of the drug use and teammate criticism. And the racist undertones of the native comment are obviously not cool. But those things aren't what's getting most of the attention in the media - it's the fact that he was talking about hooking up with girls with his friends, and said that a girl he knew got fat. And the criticism he's taking on those fronts is downright ridiculous relative to how tame those comments actually were. Imagine if we were all held to the same standards and every private conversation we'd all ever had with friends was made public, especially those from our teens and early 20s.
And for the record, I don't really have a problem with your Hitchcock comment, which was also pretty tame. What I have a problem with is you going all Karen and calling other-people fat-shamers for doing the same thing.
