I am just ready to move on. Build around Jack, Nico, Bratt, Smith, and our top 5 pick.

I love the way you think. :thumbu::thumbu::thumbu:

I am so ready to move on from Hall who just doesn't have it anymore though he did play harder tonight.

One of these things is not like the others.

Bratt is a complimentary piece, in my opinion. He's not a guy you'd 'build around'.

And I do not like the way YOU think. :p:

Complimentary piece, my ass.

Stop judging him based on where he was drafted.

Many here keep doing that which is dumb.

He is the Devils biggest Diamond-in-the-rough find since.....EVER.

He was drafted the year that Mr. Mcleod was drafted at 12.

If anything, Bratt saved that Draft as McLeod (while I'm still hopeful he pans out) continues to take his time developing.

Leafs-Flyers broadcast, experts were asked which team is most likely to get Hall.

Bob McKenzie - Colorado
Dave Poulin - Colorado
Jeff O’Neill - San Jose

“The trainer in Colorado is getting the jersey ready for Hall right now.”

oh christ, do NOT trade with san jose

I think SJ would be a great fit for him but yeah, I don't want to get hosed.

Either way, I'd be happy rooting for him on SJ or COL.

The only thing that can make Shero look worse than he already does would be to not get the best return for Hall that he possibly can. He may be a flawed GM but he at least tends to do well in trades.

Except people are setting themselves up for dissapointment with the unrealistic level of return they're expecting. The only way we get the home run return is if Hall actually signs a la Stone, and there's no indication he would do that.

Yeah I'm a little gun-shy after the Mueller fiasco lol

Disagree with this. Also remember that Stone had not signed an extension when he was moved, although Vegas had a high degree of confidence they could get it done. A team like Colorado will be trading for Hall with the intent and a strong chance of re-signing him and there will be conditions reflecting that. Regardless, the Devils should be getting at least a top prospect back for Hall. There’s no way around it.

I would expect the return for Hall will be the following

1st round pick 2020
average roster player
B+ prospect
conditional pick if he re-signs with the team

His draft position has absolutely nothing to do with it - in fact, it sounds to me like you're putting a whole lot of stock into his draft position. What does him being a diamond in the rough have to do with his long term potential?

The guy has never exceeded 35 points in a season. He put up a ~50ish point pace last year, granted, but he's back to a ~30ish pace this season.

He's probably a 3rd liner on a good team with actual talent. That's a complimentary piece.

I think more likely a 1st, good prospect, conditional 1st.

Maybe could swap the prospect for a roster player.

I don’t think you get much more without getting creative.

Hall
Mueller

To Boston for:

Carlo
Backes
Conditional '21 2nd (becomes a 1st if Hall re-signs).

Thoughts?

Shero doesn’t seem to value second round picks all that much.

Yep, I’m all for adding and retaining too. The only players I’d be vehemently opposed to trading are Hischier, Hughes, Coleman, Smith, Zajac, and Vatanen (because I want him extended). Would also prefer to keep Bratt and Bucther, but if the price is right...
