i don't want hall for 10 or 11 per.. i don't think he is that player..the devils have some good talent at forward i like him 8 years at 8 or 9 per at max...
I can’t tell if he’s gotten much slower or if he looks slow compared to Jack.
I can't see Hall taking a short term high AAV deal. A guy with his injury history, he blows out his ACL and he's done. Cash in now while you can.
St Louis trades us Dunn and Jake Allen along with a 1st this year and some conditional picks for Hall after Tarasenko is out of 5+ months... Thoughts?

Same could be happening with EK as well. I have not seen any full games but I have seen some of EK's lowlights so far this season. I really wished he would have made FA and signed with the Rangers. And prayers apparently.
Oh man, looking at Florida and Bobrobsky, there's nothing scarier than spending $10 million AAV long term on a player that immediately busts. Just can't ignore that he's going to turn 29 one month into the contract.
When things don’t go his way, he looks moody and his body language says it all.

If we're taking Jake Allen back, they better be taking back Schneider. We can't keep being a haven for bad goalies and Allen is nothing but a very high priced Keith Kinkaid. He does have one fewer year remaining on his contract than Schneider, so maybe he's a little bit more desirable, but not by much.i almost want to say yes, just for @Bleedred sake

We probably won't be competing for a while with Schneider and Allen both here through at least next year.. So then we're officially in rebuild 2.0 at that point. Unless we buy one of them out after this year, which wouldn't be as hard on the cap as if we bought one out after last year.If we are trading hall, then we are out on trying to win so that means taking on a bad contract for a year+, Im assuming multiple firsts would be involved in the deal due to Allen being included and maybe someone like Fabbri as a piece to throw in with low risk, high upside.

I'm not of the mind that we'd definitely be in rebuild 2.0 if Hall isn't here, but with a slew of really bad goalies there would be no way to compete and not tank next year away, if both are on the roster for it.
I'd be all for that, as long Allen (or Schneider) doesn't play for this team after this year and whatever one of the two does play here after this year isn't counted on to play a role greater than a complete and total backup.Lets say its a move just to retool on an expiring asset, which it would be because Dunn right now is a solid top 4 LHD who I think has high upside with an uptick in responsibility. We could buy out Allen over the summer and pay 1.68 mill in 2020-2021 and 1.33 mill in 2021-2022.

Salic seems like a very conservative GM. I’m not sure he’d ever “go for it” until he has no choice. I don’t see him breaking the bank for Hall as opposed to just throwing up bis hands with a substantial injury like this and trying to tough it out with internal replacements.
Agree. I am not sure why posters think the Avs have to "go for it" this year. Their key players are not leaving after this year. Young players like Makar will only be getting better and prospects like Byram will be coming. The Avs are built for the long term.Salic seems like a very conservative GM. Anyone have Sakic's # in case Ray doesn't have it?
dang, if only they had a bunch of young, top pair quality dmen we could try to trade for.
Byram or bust...
