You said they lack depth scoring, too. They traded a guy who can't score for a guy who should be able to score a good amount. Why is speed the only thing that matters here, when they're getting a guy who should be able to score better than Hagelin?
This deal is a flat out fleece by JR, I have no clue how anyone can say anything but that.
But can he score better than CH? Zero goals in seventeen games this year. That's a pretty long streak.
Take away his 24 goal season, and you're looking at a guy who hasn't scored all that much more than CH (yes, he's scored more - no need to research exact stats).
And honest question - can Pearson kill penalties? That's where I think the team will miss Hagelin the most.
